Think of us as the Assisted Living Facility: Family Style. At the Beehive of Gulf Breeze, we put a name to a face. We know the likes and dislikes of each and every one of our residents---down to the amount of cream and sugar that goes into his or her coffee in the morning. The average age of our residents is 83. But don't be fooled: age is just a number. Our residents partake in wonderful mental and physical activities on a daily basis. Right now, there is a fun Walking Club for residents to rack up the most laps around the Beehive!
What programs or activities does BeeHive Homes of Gulf Breeze offer to enrich residents' well-being?
To name just a few stimulating activities and programs, our residents enjoy: Card & Board Games, pet therapy, religious activities, crafts, gardening, entertainment by outside professional musicians, and field-trips to local restaurants, stores, attractions, and events.

Not only are our residents just minutes away from the beautiful, crystal clear Gulf Coast waters and famous white sand, but are also close to: The Gulf Breeze Zoo, Downtown Pensacola, Blue Wahoos Baseball Stadium, top-notch local restaurants, shopping, weekly church service, and more!

At the Beehive, dining is one of the most important experiences for our residents. Our chefs implement exceptional meal planning. We promote nutrition, cater to special diets, and personalize plates to our residents' satisfaction. Our residents naturally gather and enjoy their homemade meals together as a family for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, if residents prefer breakfast in bed or a late night snack---our kitchen is open 24/7 to ensure a happy and healthy stomach.
What safety features or security measures does BeeHive Homes of Gulf Breeze offer to assisted living residents?
The Beehive is fully equipped with security features; from keypad locks in addition to regular locks and deadbolts, to hallway security cameras, to bed alarms. In addition, our Beehive staff performs routine security checks for each and every one of our residents to ensure the well-being and safety.
How does BeeHive Homes of Gulf Breeze keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?
The Beehive staff is excellent at communicating with residents' families regarding any information whether it's urgent, minor, or even just a funny story that we wanted to share! We happily adjust to families' special requests for their loved ones; if family members request frequent updates or casual check-ups during the residents' stay, their requests will immediately be fulfilled.
What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at BeeHive Homes of Gulf Breeze during daytime and nighttime hours?
We have the highest staff to resident ratio in the Panhandle. For twenty residents, we have a very versatile and certified staff, including a Caregiver, Med Tech/Caregiver, Activities Director/Caregiver, and Chef on the floor---all teaming up to care for our residents.
What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?
Our staff undergoes yearly Med Tech/Caregiving training and CPR/First-Aid training. Additionally, the staff at the Beehive of Gulf breeze regularly partakes in mandatory classes via The Institute of Professional Care Education. To name a few of the IPCed training courses: Dementia courses 1 & 2, Safe Food Handling, First Aid, Infection Prevention & Control, Handling Difficult Situations and Behaviors, Workplace Hazards and Safety, Home Safety for Caregivers, and many more.
