My mother-in-law resided at Bridgeport Health Center for many years. The place itself was depressing as most are.Its hard to be more than a hospital setting while keeping a sterile and medically necessary type of environment. I feel they could do more to give the place a warmer feel. The staff though was genuinely helpful, kind, and caring, which is not something I normally think of when I think of a nursing home.Even though the center was not the most appealing to the eyes, the patients all seemed well cared for, and cared about. Most were dealing with severe illness yet the staff and nurses worked hard to keep everyone in good spirits. There were many activity to distract from the reality of the nursing home, and in general I would say that Bridgeport Health Center is better than most, yet could still stand some improvements.
