A long-time friend of mine has moved to Northglenn Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care. He is in their assisted living. The place is nice and clean. It's an older place, but they have their stuff together. I've watched the staff interact with the guests, including the kitchen staff and some of the younger ones, and everybody is very caring. From what I've seen, they know the residents very well and I like that. They have a lot to offer. For activities, they have puzzles throughout the place, and some rooms for games and other activities. When I went in the other day, there were about seven of the residents in one of the rooms playing Monopoly. It seems like it's something that they do regularly. They have a barber shop and even a convenience store run by the residents. They have quite a bit of stuff that they can do, too. They have a happy hour once a week where the guests, with doctors' approval, can have at least two alcoholic beverages. They have live entertainment in that, too. The dining area is large. It's where we started when we took my friend over to kind of acclimate him. We had him go and have lunch over there, and the food was very good. I was very surprised. It was very tasty and he enjoyed it. One of the residents also told us that the food is great there.

We toured Northglenn Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care. I wasn't a big fan of what their memory care looked like. We worked with Nellie, who was a sweetheart and very communicative. The rooms in the assisted living portion were nice, and I liked them. Some open up to a balcony that overlooks the courtyard. They didn't have a lot of community areas, but there's a lot of room in their dining area, and they do a lot of activities there, too. The library doesn't have any books, and it has slot machines that didn't work, but they were nice for the price point.

I toured Northglenn Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care. I liked that the rooms were more spacious than some of the other ones that I toured. It felt a little bit more independent still versus sharing a small room with someone who was just divided by a curtain. I like the options that they have available as far as dining. They included three meals a day. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the cleanliness seemed great.

I toured the Northglenn Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care to look at their assisted living. I was impressed with what I have seen, and my interaction with employees and residents. Just passing with the staff in the hallways, everyone says good morning or good afternoon. They were all very friendly. The facility was presentable and it has a good layout. The place has easy access to getting in and out, and the location is great.

I toured Northglenn Heights Assisted Living. It seemed like a friendly community. My unit happens to be a one-bedroom versus the studio that I have here. It has a patio. I met some friendly people just at lunch. Their food was good. Just friendly staff. I was pretty impressed. I only had one meal there, but it was tasty and it was served very politely. They gave me a paper with all the activities. It seemed like there were more activities than there were in the other community.

I thought Northglenn Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care was nice. I just thought mostly it was too far away from where I wanted my mom to be, with me. I think what I wanted from the facility is people who were going to make her go out and join, but I think that their engagement is more contingent on the person. So if the person doesn't want to go, they don't strongly encourage them to go. But they seemed really nice. The tour was quite pleasant, and it was very comprehensive. The staff was relatively new so she didn't have all the keys that she needed right away, but she was really quick thinking on her feet and was like, I don't have the keys to this one, but let's go here. And she was very apologetic about it, she had only been a month on the job and so she was still kind of learning. But there wasn't a question that I asked her that she didn't know, except for when I asked her about my mom's special medication that I wanted to know if the facility would be able to pay. It was dated, but it was clean.

I visited Northglenn Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care. The staff was good and very accommodating. The layout of the facility was nice and the views were nice. I had dinner with them, but the food wasn't as good as the other places I visited. The room was set up nicely, but it was smaller than I anticipated. The floor plan was very comfortable and easy to manage. I wasn't so impressed with the activities they had.
