Bonaventure of Colorado Springs seems warm and friendly. Lucius was very personable and was able to get my dad to talk with him. My dad is very happy with the food too. He is staying in a one-bedroom and it's more than enough for him. The library is the best of all the ones that we looked at. They also offer transportation, but because of COVID, they don't have a lot of things going on. I think they're doing a good job with the COVID measures though and I think we're getting a good value of our money.

I visited my MIL at this facility and was shocked and distraught. I walked in her room which stunk horribly, there were dried feces spots near and in the toilet and a couple spots near the bed. There were dried urine stains on the floor and my MIL had nothing on but a shirt. Nothing else!!! She was in bed laying in urine stained sheet with several stains holding a blanket. I lifted the sheet and the mattress was very stained too. I took pictures of all of this. She had no water in the room and the head nurse said they could not force her to eat. Then why not alert the family that she was not eating? The head nurse was panicking because the care was awful. Do not put your loved one in this memory care facility!!!

I went to the Bonaventure of Colorado Springs. I like that they are caring and that they know a lot of people by their first name and they know a lot about them. I like that you could make friends and they do a lot of different gatherings and socializing things. I also liked that they had a bunch of different activities that could keep someone going independently so that they don't have to end up in assisted living. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. We went around lunchtime, so we kind of got lunch, but they also cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they offer three meals a day. They have a movie theater, they have a woodworking area for men. They have a game room area where they have a pool table and then they have a bunch of different games you can play. They also have a little alcohol beverage thing where you can have like two alcoholic beverages for free at night. They can take you like if you can't drive, they can take you to doctor visits and they can take you grocery shopping and stuff like that.

Bonaventure of Colorado Springs was very nice and very new. They're only partially filled. They're very new. I got a very positive outlook about it. I just don't remember the exact amenities. It is attached to assisted living and memory care. I saw a couple of apartments. They're a beautiful facility.

My parents have lived here since April 2019. My mom recently passed away but absolutely loved living here. She loved all the activities provided and loved all the residents. My Dad still resides here. The apartments are very clean and kept up with. I love the staff, especially Lydia and Melissa....there are more but I can't remember all their names. The staff all greet you when they see you. When my mom passed they made special effort to keep an eye on my Dad for a while. My parents both like/liked the food. I don't plan on moving my Dad as he is content there. The only issue we had at first was getting all my mom's meds lined out, but in their defense she was on 16 different one.

Bonaventure of Colorado Springs had nice rooms and nice layout. The place was modern. However, it was smaller, and there was not a lot of energy compared to other places. There was also so much construction going on. Every window you looked out, you're either looking at a crane or you're looking at some new building going up. My father did not care for that. The staff members weren't even quite sure what room to show to us. It was not great. There was zero activity, too. The dining area was quite nice, and there was a lot of variety on their menu. It was a great place, but just in a bad location.

We visited Bonaventure in July 2018 when looking for a senior independent living community for my mom and found it to be a very warm and social place. We spent over 2 hours there and met lots of the residents...one even invited us into her apartment to see what living there is really like! Everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming. I could tell that my mom would have no trouble integrating into the community and making friends quickly and easily. The staff members we met were caring, attentive to the residents, and knew them all by name. Heather, the Asst. Exec. Director who showed us around was the most involved, caring and dedicated staff member we saw at any of the communities we toured. It is obvious that she loves her job and genuinely cares about her residents. The facility itself is beautiful and clean, and the apartments we looked at were very nice. There are numerous social activities offered and we watched a Bingo session which was well attended and they all appeared to be having a really good time! We also saw several residents practicing at the piano for an upcoming event. The camaraderie we saw between and among the residents and staff really gave us a feeling of family, and I had no doubt that my mom would be happy there. We could not stay for dinner but the lasagna looked amazing! We did get to sample the soft-serve ice cream (which is available at all times in the lounge!) and it was delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend Bonaventure in Colorado Springs to anyone looking for a senior independent living community. It feels like home.

My mother is residing at The Bonaventure and she has nothing but good things to say. Only one medication issue surfaced this past year and it was resolved quickly and courteously. I'm impressed with the cleanliness as well as the attentiveness the staff provide. Food isn't bad either.

My wife was in the memory care section and received expert and compassionate care from the director to every aide. Every request I made was met quickly and with great care. Special attention was given to her because she was not able to move around on her own. I dropped in unexpectedly and found two aides sitting beside her to encourage her and care for her. The care and compassion she received was as good as I could have desired for her. I would rate everyone on the staff of Bonaventure very high and eager to be of service from the administrator to every aide and recommend it to anyone.

Bonaventure was a very nice place but farther away and pricier than I'd like to be. The staff was very nice and courteous. The rooms were nice.

I have moved into Bonaventure of Colorado Springs, and it's been good. They offer quite a few activities, and I'm very comfortable here in a two-bedroom unit, and the food is very good. The dining area is very nice and comfortable.

Please do not put your family members here! My mother and step-father were in assisted living and they knew my mother was suffering with Alzheimer's. When her husband was taken to the hospital they left her in the room by herself, saying she was 100% independent and did not need additional care. She was found wandering the halls, not remembering he had been taken to the hospital. She was scared and didn't know a thing. Previous to this they had been escorting her to and from the dining center when her husband did not feel well enough to go eat, yet when we asked the administrators about this we were told that she could walk around anywhere she wanted - she had that right.... They were not concerned in the least for her welfare. They would not provide services for her so we had to hire 24/7 care until we could get her moved from the facility. At that point the QMAPs only dispensed medications and did not provide any other services... In addition, their apartment was filthy. The housekeepers put a card outside the room but did no more than empty the trash. The 24/7 caregiver and I had to clean the apartment from top to bottom - it was filthy.

I rate the memory Care 100%, since the new director take over in late November of 2016, she is very firm train great staff, the director always interacting with the residents, she always busy staff putting in great rules, she's the greatest I see since am visiting there an a regular basics, I hope and pray she still there, this place really needed a wonderful director like her, she's a no nonsense lady and the care and rules she put in place for the memory Care needed to be in the entire building she can manage the entire building, she put residents first i will recommend immediate move in to the memory Care side as long as she is the director in memory Care you turn that memory Care around, marvelous, dedicated, caring, compassionate, loyalty, living person you are I can see why all the residents and your staffs in memory care just love you, keep up that great job.

I wish I could live here! I am a friend of a resident and have nothing but great things to say about Bonaventure. Their staff and residents are all so sweet! They have great food, fun activities and some nice outings as well. I saw some poor reviews regarding staff when I came to post this and all I can say is I, nor my friend have encountered anything but great people here. My friend has only been there for 6 months but I have seen the same smiling faces in staff and management since she got there. Things may have been different in the past but whatever they're doing now is top notch.

Bonaventure of Colorado Springs looks nice. But the caregiver-to-resident ratio is like three caregivers to 20 residents and that is quite low for me. Overall, the facility is very nice-looking. The rooms are nice and very ideal for one person.

Bonaventure was new. They have a movie theater that shows movies twice a day I think. They have an ice cream machine for the residents that goes on at 3:00 p.m. They have a lot of activities. I do not care for their memory care, but it seemed to be a really nice place. Overall, I really like the place because it's a newer facility; however, they said that their staff turnover is very high. Their ratings online were so poor that I would not go there, even though I really like it from my observations. Apparently, they do not follow-through on care well. The facility was clean. Overall, I like that they were willing to take residents to the YMCA to work out. They just need to improve their quality of care.

While the building facility is nice, it is nothing more than window dressing. Don't let out fool you. These people are not trained and they will tell you everything you want to hear while they nothing. Their specialty is covering for their inept behavior that frequently results in the harm of residents. Stay away!

The staff is not well trained, and the food is not good here at Bonaventure of Colorado Springs. We do not have a chef. We only have rotating cooks. The activities are very limited. The rooms are very nice.

My parents have lived in the Colorado Springs property for 1-1/2 yrs. The property itself is new and attractive, but the services that were promised have never been as promoted. The food is substandard and they don't even try to provide a diabetic menu. If you have trouble getting to the dinning area, your meal is delivered to the room as much as 2hrs after the scheduled mealtime, and food is usually stone cold. No resident I have spoken to regarding meals has ever had anything positive to say. The housekeeping is barely passable. Medical assistance on any level, is hit and miss, so you better hope it's not life threating if they don't receive it. Management and staff alike have turned over so many times in the last year and a half, we've lost count! If your loved ones can still maintain on their own and just need a roof over their heads and don't care what their meals taste like, then you will be ok, but if you hope for more, BEST LOOK ELSEWHERE.

I am temporarily at Bonaventure of Colorado Springs. The food is good. The help is helpful for the most part, and they try to make things comfortable for you with their service. The rooms were very nice and are a good size for one person. The food is very good. There's plenty of it, and there's a variety. The dining room set-up is good. It allows interplay between the tables if need be, and at the same time, it is quiet, and you can be by yourself also. They have activities like they go out to different restaurants and go on scenic drives. During the day time, they have bingo, cards, checkers, and all that kinds of stuff.
our experience was terrible

My parents lived in Bonaventure for 14 months before we had to make a change to their safety and sanity. I believe Bonaventure is a poorly managed facility where the care is substandard. My parents lived in Bonaventure's assisted living area in Colorado Springs. My dad was on a medication program and they were to administer his daily medication. The first four days he was on the program, his medication was not given to him for two of those days. Meds were often late or early...sometimes his 8 am medications were given around 11:30 a.m. His evening meds came anywhere between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. They often waited over an hour to get served in the dining room. The food was poor quality although right before they moved out, some of the meals were improving. Snow and ice were rarely cleared from the sidewalks and never on the weekends. There were 5 different general managers during the time my parents lived there. Whenever the management was approached with a complaint about a service my parents were told, "We're working on that." Very little was ever resolved or any apology offered for service that was substandard. My parents came to know and appreciate some of the staff who worked there but our complaint isn't with the staff...it's with Bonaventure as a company and their way of doing business. It seems to us that they are not in the business to care for the seniors who live in their facilities but only because there is profit to be made in senior care. I will NEVER consider Bonaventure again for the care of my parents. In my opinion, Bonaventure doesn't even deserve one star but the review would not go through until I rated it.

The Entire staff has turned over 4 if not 5 times in just over a year my Grandma has been there. Management is unorganized and unable or unwilling to respond to numerous issues that come up. Don't let the beautiful building fool you, the care is far from what is promised or required by LAW.

My Dad is a resident here and he absolutely loves it! There are a plethora of activities there and the food is fantastic. They are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The staff truly cares and treats them as family. If you are looking for a true home and community look no further than Bonaventure COS.

We chose Bonaventure because they did have the proximity to our home and because they did have assisted living if we needed that down the road. It's a year old, very modern, and very clean.

My mom lived there right after it opened. Since that time EVERY care giver and many others are gone. The care my mom got was atrocious. She was in memory care, wandered away, they couldn't find her, she fell down and cut her leg, it got infected....AND THEY DID NOTHING. No, they did contact us after it was already infected. We had to take her to an emergency care place where she was on antibiotics for weeks. We moved her out to a place where she would get better care.

My mom loves this place. She has made so many friends that she didn't at the other place she was at. She is busy all of the time with things going on there. She calls to brag to me daily what they had to eat there and how good it was and even better that she didn't have to make it. Our weekly dinners out now are at her place there.... I must say I don't mind because it is better than going out to eat. My mom is happy even though the move was tough, it was the best move for her. I haven't seen my mom smile like that is a very long time.

I am amazed with how this community has grown. The community is beautiful and the staff are great. They had a few growing pains to start with, which can be expected. Everyone is so friendly here. The food is great, the staff help with everything and it seems as though people are always smiling. I have to say that I lived at another community before we came here and I am so glad I did. I recommend this place to everyone I know and so does my family. Thank you to everyone here that works so hard to make our lives so special.

My mother moved here in Jan 2014 shortly after they opened. The management was very disorganized then, and it got worse to the point that by June almost the entire admin staff including the head nurse had turned over. The facility itself is beautiful, food was decent, and if all your loved one needs is a safe apartment and meds administered you are probably OK. However, my mother needed more continuity of care and they are just not set up for that, or are not capable of doing that despite what they say/promise. We moved her out to a small 8-person residential assisted living and she is doing fabulous there.

Bonaventure of Colorado Springs was pretty much new. The only problem for me was that they are priced too high for the way they are structured. But the sales people were very good. The rooms and dining room were very good.

Bad Bad Bad. I would give managment an "F" rating. Very disorganized and rarely if ever return calls from management. Always an apology but never follow through.

Extremely unorganized, huge turn over of employees, lack of communication between people in charge, very frustrating. Not sure what experience these people have. Seems to be none. Would've never moved my loved one into this place. Should've gone someplace else!

Look past the fluff. In my experience they are very disorganized I am already regretting my decision to move my parent there. Trust your gut instinct.
