I went to Grace Manor Tracy. The guy was nice on the phone. However, the walls were dirty, the carpet was filthy, and they don't help dispense certain types of medication. My sister is a diabetic, and they don't administer the shots. I can't go over there twice a day to do it. Plus, the room they had available was in the converted dining room with bifold doors, which I did not like, and it was right near the front door. The person who answered the door was a nephew, and the guy's wife's mom was the help. They didn't have any nurses that would come in. The husband was nice, I would give him a 4, but the rest of the staff would be a 2. The cleanliness and everything would be a 2.

Grace Manor is a very well established residential care facilities. They seem to be very well regulated, and meet a lot of care and safety standards. Unlike a lot of other assisted living facilities, this particular one has a very homey feel to it, and doesn't feel overly "sterilized". The staff seems to be very caring and willing to be helpful in many aspects. Perhaps one of the most enticing features of this particular facility is that they have a storage of medications for the use of any residents. The dining areas, kitchens, and rooms are all very cozy. The carpet, blinds, and light fixtures are very nice looking, and the community seems peaceful and calming. The furnishings are very nice. The security features that are present on all the doors and windows are very reassuring, as is the fact that the three meals that are given every day are directed by a physician.
