We have chosen Brookdale Tracy. When we went to visit it, the people were very friendly. My mother's apartment is very nicely set up where she can make it work. She has already moved in. I would give them a 4 though. They're a little slow to respond to some of the things that she's asked for and needed to get settled in. But overall, she's happy. The food is good. They have a salon, they have exercise classes, and they have doctors that they've contracted with to come on-site.

I love Brookdale Tracy and its people. I can't complain. The person who was helping me there really went all out, and the team is fabulous. They're awesome. However, the facility is a little bit smelly. As for the ambiance, it's okay. Regarding the shared bedrooms, I don't like them because of the lack of privacy. It's not a solid wall. It's just kind of like a curtain that divides, similar to a hospital.

Brookdale Tracy was quite extensive, and it was a very nice facility. It had a nice courtyard area for walking around protected from the streets. They had field trips. They would go to the movie theater. They had just finished a field trip to a popcorn factory at the time I was there. They took people out and gave them entertaining things to do, not just sit in the theater and watch a movie. They had 1-bedroom apartments and studios, as well. The lady who took me on the tour was very friendly, congenial, very forthcoming, and answered all my questions straight up front.

I had an in-person tour of Brookdale Tracy. Everybody seemed to be happy and really liked being there. It wasn't very easy to understand where the visitor parking was. But once you found it, it was OK. It was just a little bit hard to navigate and know where to go. The rooms were clean and bigger than I expected. I looked over the menu, and it looked like it was very good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, not only to myself, but to the residents as we were walking through the building.

I had a tour of Brookdale Tracy with the staff. She was very courteous and professional. She took me around. I got a great understanding of how the facility is run and as far as the care as well. I saw the common areas and I saw one activity. They were singing.

I liked Brookdale Tracy, but it's a little out of my price range. Shelby was outstanding. She talked to me about things more than what the Veterans Administration tells me. It's for assisted living, but they want an evaluation because my brother does have the onset of dementia. It's a beautiful building. The dining room was set up. The rooms were set up. I was very impressed, even with the staff when I came in. They said, "Hi," and then "Bye," when I left. I saw a lot of care there. They have a little salon where you can pay to get a haircut or shave. It's just a nice little setup that they have. The apartments had a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. It was very impressive. The price that they quoted me just for the apartment included housekeeping and laundry. I saw the dining area, and they had a beautiful courtyard set up out there. They have a little covered lanai and they have barbecues there when the weather permits. They have an activity room, a TV, and a library. It's just a beautiful setup. Shelby was great. She was one of the best people I've ever met that's given me a tour.

We toured Brookdale Tracy. It's very nice, kept up well, has a warm staff, and they have a nice big patio area. The rooms were very nice and clean, good for people to stay in, and had their own kitchenettes. It's very welcoming. We had a nurse that works on the property give us a tour and she had a lot of good things to tell us about the place. She was very hospitable and knowledgeable. I saw a 1-bedroom apartment, but they also have 2-bedroom apartments. They have a cafeteria in the facility and they have a great room with lots of chairs where people can socialize and sit around. They have activities like puzzles and different people that come in to entertain them. I didn't see any food being served at the time, but their menu looked good.

My father will be moving into Brookdale Tracy. It was fantastic and the people there were great. I saw the assisted living. The memory care was on the other side and my father doesn't need it at this time, but they toured most of it. It was well laid out with the amenities very accessible for the residents there. The dining hall is very easy for them to locate and get around. The staff is on every floor to help guide and assist somebody if needed, and they were very pleasant to deal with and just very personable. It made you feel like family, even if you weren't in the home yet. The staff was fantastic. The other residents said that every meal is pretty much fantastic because I was talking to a few people that finished their dining and that's what they told me. They said, "We always have good meals here, so your dad will be set," "We can't wait to meet him." They were clean and always striving to do better.

Brookdale Tracy assisted living was an older facility. The building itself was older and the inside was not as modern. It also didn't look as clean as the others I've seen. It's still a nice place. Comparing it to the other ones I've seen, it was a lot older. The size and the layout of the apartments are both great, but it's older. They have older appliances, older cabinetry, and older carpets. The size was great though, and it would have been a good fit for my father-in-law if that's the one we would choose. For activities, they do outings. They do cards. They have arts and crafts. They have the library room and a TV room. The location of it was kind of on a busy road. Right behind the facility, there were a lot of homeless tents. I could actually see the homeless tents from the room that he would have been staying in, so the safety might have been a little bit of a concern.

Right now, Brookdale Tracy is in between executive directors. Everything is pretty bad. The place is just not managed well. The food is not good, but my husband and I like our apartment layout and the size of it. Cleanliness is OK, but it could still be improved. The fixtures are fine too. There's a stove and refrigerators in each unit, and they have activities for the residents. They're supposed to have transportation, but there's no bus driver. We are both in power chairs and we can't get transportation to go shopping or anything like that, just doctor's appointments. There's a library with quite a few books in it and magazines. There is a beauty salon. The facility looks nice. They just need better organization, communication, better variety and better quality of food.

My mom has been in Brookdale Tracy for about a month now. I was able to come in, see how the facility was, see the rooms, see the activities, and check over their food. They really made me see everything, so I could get a good perspective on whether or not it would be a good place for my mom. I talked to her roommate, too, and so far, it's turned out to be a good situation. We had a really good move-in experience. They were very, very helpful. They met us at the door with her favorite drink and snack. She met the people, and that allowed me to go in there with the signing of the papers, and everything turned out very well. So far, I don't have many complaints about the staff, but I was frustrated when I was not told they were taking her by emergency transport to check out her arm after she slipped and fell. That was a little disconcerting to me that they didn't call me first. The facility is very clean and very well maintained. It kind of felt like a cross between a hotel and a living facility. Doors are open, people are very friendly, the staff is very nice and upfront, and they take everything out before you go in. I really liked it.

I looked at the independent living at Brookdale Tracy, and I looked at a companion apartment. They had giant living rooms, with a full kitchen, full burner stove, full refrigerator, and a sink with various things. For a companion apartment it was really nice. They had many activities and the food was good because they had so many choices. When you have all these choices it makes it kinda nice. The staff, they were really nice too. I talked to the executive director maybe seven times over a period of six months. I have a friend there who also came from my previous community. I used to talk to him all the time and he liked this place. It looks like an apartment complex, it looks unbelievable, and it's one of the nice ones.

My mom has been living at Brookdale Tracy assisted living for a few months. The place is nice and clean. It's well-run with good people. They're on top of everything and well-organized. They also entertain the residents. My mom has a push button that she wears all the time and if anything goes wrong, she pushes the button and they go to her. Maintenance is kept up which is always a plus. The rooms and hallways are always clean, and the carpets aren't ripped. They try to keep the residents active on bus trips to places and Happy Hour. They're a little expensive and the base rent is a little high, but you're paying for what you get. The fees are within realm and reason based on other facilities.

My wife has been in Brookdale for four years. The service is fine, but the cost is getting out of hand. However, the whole staff changed when it was bought out a year or two ago. They take care of everything, including the medications.

Brookdale Tracy is a good place for anyone who wants to live on their own. Everything's in there, but we couldn't afford it. The person who assisted me was good. The dining area was clean and very presentable. They have their own barber shop and a salon. The staff never stopped calling me and updating me. The food was hotel style, and it was very good.

A month and a half ago my grandmother fell in her restroom. She pressed the life alert button they gave her. The button didn't work. She'd lie in urine and feces for 2 days before someone finally came by to check on her. Today 6/22 my grandmother called to tell me that the Director of the facility, Adeline came by to tell her that her rent would be raised $1700 because of her current condition. My grandmother has been at a physical therapy facility for the past month. It was very thoughtful of her to stop by to give my grandmother that news.

Brookdale Tracy was very nice. You feel like you’re in a small hotel when you’re there. It was a fair price. I got thorough information from the instructor. The visit was very educational and not a waste of time. She explained to me the process, so we understood exactly what we were up against and all that’s involved. The staff was phenomenal. The grounds and location were very nice and had some nice, big gardens. I was impressed with the environment.

We chose Brookdale Tracy for their memory care area. The place is really great and has a lot of the things that my loved one needs. The staff is really good and very attentive to the residents. I like how they help her. The food is well balanced and really good. They also make sure their residents are well hydrated, which was one hing that sold us on this place. We also like the large hallways and the things in the hallways that help the residents with dementia. There is a door that she can go in and out of whenever she wants. It has an outdoor feel to it.

We went to Brookdale Tracy. It was an OK, older place. The halls were a little narrow if you had a scooter. She was the only who could ride up and down in the elevator since you could not fit other people in there. The only thing I did not like was that their activities room was up on the third floor. They had lots of trees, and it was very cool. There was a police station right next door, so it was a safer community. They had five bake shops around it.

Brookdale Tracy is nice. It looks like it was well-run. The facility is big. Their memory care unit is big too. The facility looks fairly new, and modern. The staff answered all my questions. They were professional, and I got a lot of good information from them. The rooms were of good size, and they have nice big windows. The facility is clean, and nice.

We had been in contact with Brookdale Tracy and liked it very much. There was some comment about it being an older building or whatever, but I don't have an issue with that. The people working there were very nice and kept in contact with me. We are thinking about respite care right now. I thought the rooms were fine, though I actually wanted a single room, not a bedroom and living room -- just one room that my husband could have a chair in as well as the bed and the TV. They were very nice. There weren't any problems. The facilities were fine with me. The people seemed happy, and nobody was complaining. One lady was in the hallway waiting to be taken to the dining room, and somebody came in to assist her. It was very clean without odor. I did not see anything that I could complain about. The dining area seemed quite nice.

Brookdale Tracy was good, and we really liked it. The staff was informative and toured us around. We saw the caregivers feeding the patients. The dining area was good. The rooms were big and have the options of private or two people in one. They have a special area for people with dementia.

Brookdale was very nice and very well-kept property. The staff was really helpful and answered all of our questions. Customer service was really good. The rooms were of very nice size and larger than I was expecting it to be. They have exercise class, yoga, bible studies, and frequent trips to the casinos and shopping. They have a really good selection of activities.

The facility I visited is named Brookdale. It has a shared room with two people. My mother can still walk and talk, but she can't take care of herself. She needs a lockdown kind of place because she has dementia. She is physically in good shape just mentally gone. The staff was sweet. The lady took me around to all the activities they had for them and that kind of stuff. The surroundings are very nice. The people were really friendly. They seem to be really nice. I recommend the facility to anyone who can afford it.

Emeritus at Heritage Place is an older facility. They have done their best to make it presentable, but you can't just get around the fact that it was older. The people were good and very helpful. They were very pleasant and engaged with residents. They didn't have any activities going on, but any of the residents that we met during the tour where known by name and were talked to by the staff. The surroundings are neat and clean. It looks like they kept up with the maintenance, but you couldn't just get around that the building is old, the ceiling is low, and the hallways are narrow. Their price is good, and the staff is very helpful. I really think that they have taken the best advantage of the facility as they can as far as presentation.

I really liked Emeritus at Heritage Place, and I thought it would be great for my mom if she would be open to the idea. The facility was nice and clean. They were all taken care of and up kept very well. The landscaping was very immaculate. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and everything. I was very pleased with it. The rooms were very nice. What really stood out to me was that they really made it like a true community, and it had a true community environment. They offered great programs that seniors engaged in.

Emeritus at Heritage Place was pretty good. They had the same activities as the other places, i.e., bingos, movies, and things like that. They had a little bit more of activities than the other facility though. However, they only offered one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and rooms where they would be sharing a kitchen and a living room. The staff was pretty good. They showed us how the place was. They were very friendly. What I like best about this one is the location. It was a good location. It was easy to get to. Regarding the living environment, they had a place to go outside. If they don't want to stay in, they had a nice area where they can go outside.

Poorly trained staff, in my experience. The young ladies seem incapable of dealing with a person with dementia. I would not send anyone here if it was the last place on Earth. I pulled out my parent a few months ago and should have sooner. If the management of the Memory Care side of this facility is not replaced, please, for the Love of your Parent, do not use this facility.

I wouldn’t feel bad putting my mother in Emeritus although it was the farthest from where we live. The people there were very nice but the place was not as clean as I would have thought it would be. The bathrooms were dirty. It was not as regimented as the others. The person that runs the place was young, very helpful, nice, understanding and personable.

When you walk in Emeritus Heritage Place, it's bright and cheery. People there are so nice. We moved our mom about two months ago, and she absolutely loves it there. She's in a 1-bedroom/1-bath. The bathroom is big, has a walk-in shower, has a vanity, and lots of cabinets where they could put their medications and lock them up. The room has a kitchenette, a small stove and oven, and refrigerator. The dining room is fairly large, and I do believe they put tablecloths on for the evening. The food is good. I've had lunch there. They have fresh, homemade soup and homemade, fresh desserts every day. My mom really likes it. She said the girls can't do enough for her and they're very sweet. She said she goes down and she tries to learn some card games. They have weekly trips, like the other day they had a trip to the jelly bean factory. There's always something, and they have somebody who will take them to doctor's appointments one day a week. They also have a physician that comes in once a month. So if she wants to be seen for anything, she can do that once a month. They have one day where they take them shopping, but they can only choose one place to go. They also have social service. If you can't do any of it once a week, they'll have people who will do it for you if you're sick. My mom is in the independent living part, so she does mostly everything herself.

We visited but it was farthest from my sister and I. We really liked the staff there. The director was helpful to us. My dad really didn't want to leave Modesto. So, even though it was only half an hour away, just the thought of living or being that much farther had him aggravated. Where he is now is much closer for my sister and I to visit him and didn't upset him quite as much.

My dad is at the memory care here. When I was trying these places, I didn’t understand that my dad has Alzheimer's. We took him for a psych evaluation, and we found out he has Alzheimer's with a flight risk. He has to be in a lock-down unit, which they have. They answered all of our concerns, and they held up to that with the exception of the clothes. Whenever they wash for the people and send up the clothes, my father has missing clothes. That's a big issue. They don't track that very well. But I'm very happy with the results there. A good thing is their attentiveness to the people living there. They have a schedule like every 15 minutes, or if they can't see a person in 15 minutes, they go look for them and find out if they're OK. They're not lacking staff at all either. When you walk in there, there are like four or five attendants in that area. In addition, they keep the people occupied; not too much watching TV, but activities to keep the people interactive. Actually, as far as rate goes, it's pretty reasonable compared to some facilities I've looked at previously.

We met with the director at Emeritus and he answered all our questions about financing and how the facility runs. We took a tour of the facility. We saw everything that they have to offer there and we thought that it was very nice place. He was very thorough and very warm. We talked to a couple of the residents there and they were very happy with the facility and the services. Most of the people we saw seemed very happy there. The apartment room that they have there, we felt like they were very nice rooms. I liked that they have the option that they can cook in their room or they can go down for a meal at the cafeteria or their dining room. They have a beauty shop, game room, movie night and they do bingo. I thought the grounds were kept very nice outside, they were very inviting.

I visited and I really liked it. I was really looking forward but when it came down to that that they don't accept Medicaid, it was a bummer for me. The living environment that I've seen was okay. I never heard anything negative about the place so that was a good thing. It looks good but I'm the type that I have to keep coming back to see, I never like the first time. The staff was very helpful and the place was clean enough and very nice. It was something that I would have liked to see my dad to be in.

It was a very nice facility. The place was clean. I looked at a semi-private apartment wherein two residents can share a living room and a kitchen but they have two separate bedrooms. The staff were nice. The lady who did the tour, even though my dad didn't go there, still called and checked on him.

My grandmother suffered from inoperable brain tumors and moved into this facility in 2004. These facilities are very nice, providing assisted living but at the same time giving their patients a sense of privacy. My grandmother was always well taken care of, and actually quite happy with her residence. (My grandmother could be a little hard to please, but the nursing faculty did the best they could to make sure our entire family was pleased and comfortable with the care she received.)

This community is an assisted living community that was referred for my friend and I to check out for his mother. We really liked the location - convenient to Stockton and Livermore. Because is close to the freeway, it is easy to get to and has access to everything the area offers. The landscaping was lovely, with plenty of park benches and greenery. The building is back enough from the road to offer a quiet environment. They can accommodate varied levels of ambulation. The staff were very friendly. The interior foyer and visiting sections were very nicely decorated. The restaurant style meals looked and smelled really delicious. Snacks are also available whenever residents desire them. The menus included foods for all desires and diets. The lovely communal rooms offered many activities, from socializing to games and other stimulating events. They offered exercise classes and physical activity is encouraged regularly. There are also many opportunities to explore the lovely grounds easily. Each private residence had spacious rooms with nice views and plenty of fresh air and natural light. There were also rooms to reserve for residents to spend time with family and friends. Residents can enjoy nature and Lodi Lake, with boating and picnics. Some residents enjoy visiting the Black Oak Casino with friends and family. The location is very convenient to all that the region offers, from nature to vibrant city culture. This senior environment is very designed and the residents and staff seemed happy to be there.
