We happened to be in San Francisco and visited Sunset Gardens assisted living facility while searching for a place for our aunt to live in the San Francisco area. We could immediately see that the outside area was very nicely maintained. The grounds outside offered easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely each day. The foyer was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. There were lots of places for the seniors to exercise and have parties outside. The interior design seemed easy to navigate and each room had views of the ocean, which we really liked. There seemed to be plenty of fresh air and light. The staff appeared to accommodate all levels of ambulation. The staff often takes residents on many outings into San Francisco's vibrant community to enjoy all that it has to offer. From sight seeing to nature walks and cultural events, San Francisco has it all. The dining areas offered the kind of food that you would find in an upscale diner. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus included food options for all kinds of diets. Private units featured beautifully decorated surroundings, all with nice views and light. The seniors appeared content here, with just the amount of care and attention they needed.
