We have found a place for my mom, Aegean Hills Senior Living. It's a board and care facility. It's like a family-owned company but my mom needed a higher level of care than assisted living, so we had to go the next level up. It's very clean, it's in a residential neighborhood, but it looks and feels like a home when you walk in and not like an institution. The guy who runs it, his name is Richard Mendoza, and he's like a third-generation care facility manager. He's very organized with the things I needed help with, like finding a home health agency to come out because we switched counties, so everything changes, and he was able to facilitate that, and he did an outstanding job. They offered memory care, but my mom does not require it, but they are certified for that. The staff is very friendly and very efficient. My mom said the food is good but sometimes the portions are small. They were doing bingo yesterday; they have activities.
