I chose Golden Groves Residential Care for my mother. It was the perfect fit for her because it's small. It only holds like four or five people, so it's a lot of one-on-one care. That's what we were looking for. I wasn't looking for a large facility that has hundreds of people in it. The rooms are immaculate, the bathrooms are immaculate, the place is extremely clean, and the caregivers are outstanding. Everyone of them that I've met has just a wonderful disposition and is so caring. It's a home, so it has a nice kitchen table just right off the kitchen. It's kind of like a great room where they have a sofa and the TV and then the kitchen table. It's very cozy. It feels very inviting. They color and play games, and it's just really nice. Nice facility. They have an outdoor patio that they can go out to and in the backyard. I only saw some coloring books that they were using, and I know they've been playing some kind of games. I feel very secure that she's very safe in her room, in her bed, and she can't fall out. They have a camera so that If she did get up in the middle of the night, they would be able to be notified immediately. So they've done all the right steps. I feel that it's reasonably priced for what we are getting.
