Whispering Oaks - Waverly

I didn't care for Whispering Oaks - Waverly very much at all. The rooms were very small. Everything was very clean, but it was very dated and not very well appointed. I know it's a different type of facility, but I didn't care for it at all. The lady that showed me around was very nice. She seemed nice and competent. But for me, it was not a good fit. The kitchen was small. There was no homey, comfortable feeling to it. It just didn't go over with me. There was nothing going on in terms of activities. There were a couple of men in their rooms that were just lying in bed watching TV and that was about it. The only common spaces were the living room area, which was very plain and simple, and then the other one was a patio at the back of the house, which was fine. It was a nice patio. But there were no other common spaces.

I highly recommend Whispering Oaks board and care. The moment one walks into the facility it feels more like home. The caregivers take pride in their work!! In these times it is so difficult to find people who truly care about your loved one. They provided the best of care for my mother until her end of life. Our family is blessed to have found this board and care for our mother. Thank you!!

My husband has moved into Whispering Oaks. It's very nice; it's like a home. My husband feels like he is staying in a friend's house. They take very good care of him. The two staff members are very good. The only thing is that the food is not good.
