"I have moved into Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. This is my third day, and the people are friendly. There are a lot of services, but I'm not even sure of all of what I'm entitled to. For $200 per month, I get three meals a day plus snacks, but there's no way a single person can feed himself for that price. I have no complaints about the staff. Cleanliness is exceptional. The apartment that I moved into has brand new carpeting and countertops. It's modernized, and it was all redone recently. I've only had food five or six times so far, but no complaints. They give you a wide variety of things. If you really don't like what they're serving, you can order ala carte items. You can get eggs for breakfast if that's all you want, or cheeseburgers for lunch. About value for money, I really don't have anything to compare it to as far as whether or not it's value, but I'm not upset about what it costs."

"We chose Southern Oaks Place for our parents because it's a smaller community, which makes it easier for my dad to walk to dinners or to get meals. The other ones were huge. He has a little bit of a problem walking, so this is more intimate. It's very clean. Even though it's along a very busy street, you don't hear the traffic. The grounds were nice. The people were nice. The dining area looked really good. The food had a good selection."

"My sister moved to Suite Living of Spring Lake Park. It's very clean, airy, and open. The staff is friendly and nice, and the food is good. However, they don't have enough staff. They have bingo and cards and go out and eat if they want."

"The rooms are older and small. The care is moderately good. The biggest complaint is that we purchased new comfortable clothing for him and within a week all but one item we purchased “disappeared” never to be seen again. They also “lost” a sweatshirt that was very dear to him. It is obvious that they randomly distribute clothing to other patients as we often arrived and he was wearing items that were not his own. I would be very wary of this place."

"Havenwood of Maple Grove seemed very nice. They didn't have the unit that I wanted available. So, I kind of didn't go back there. The rooms were nice. There were some things that I didn't like. There weren't many closets. I didn't meet very many people, but the person who gave the tour was very nice. It was clean."

"I love it here at Ecumen Prairie Lodge. I feel safe and sound. The food is great. They are all pretty fantastic people. They are fun to be with and I love them. I don't want to be anywhere else. The place is simple. We have coffee here any time you want it, or juice, and there's plenty of water. They wash our clothes and take good care of us. They take us to different therapies. So far, I love it. They are excellent. They are very kind and very caring."

"I visited Oakland Assisted Living. I thought it was very nice but I don't know if I'm in denial but I didn't think it was for me because all my friends are in Wright County and we're getting to the point where none of us drive. I did like it though and if I got drastically ill I would go there. Being a person of independence I had a little qualms about sharing a bathroom but it was only two people in one bathroom so I do believe it would be workable, otherwise, that was a beautiful home. Beautiful setting. Very nice."

"I visited many centers in my search for the best place for my wife. When we got there she didn't even want to go inside. I was afraid that was the beginning of the end and my guilt was magnified. Now, 3 months later, she considers it home and loves it there. She told me on a recent visit that it was nice to have me home. When I told her what a beautiful home she has she simply said"I know I do. The staff, food and facility itself are outstanding. I know I made the right choice. It isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny to me to know that she is happy and well cared for. I can't say enough about the quality of the care she receives."

"We had my mom ready to go into Cornerstone Assisted Living, but we'd have to put her into memory care there. Having seen other memory cares, it's probably the best one but that's a drastic change, and it's not an environment I would want to put my mother in at this point. It's a very nice community, and the assisted living was beautiful. We toured the assisted area where they have a dining area, a solarium and activities. It was very nice. My mom would have to be sent down into the lower level, which they lock up unless family comes. It's a newer community, but the memory care rooms were pretty small, which my mother doesn't like. They also wouldn't allow pets, and that was a big deal for her too, and that was probably the last straw for her. From what I understand, it's normal for any memory care community."

"We visited Lino Lakes Assisted Living and toured their memory care for my father. We liked the room because it was a decent size for his needs. It's a nice location because it's close to us, as we live in the area. Inside, it was beautiful, big, and didn't have that nursing home smell. They have a lot of room for the residents to eat. They also have music, I think, once a week. The staff who gave the tour was awesome. There are also RNs 24/7, so I like it there. We did a lot of online searches, and all of the places are pretty much the same. It's just a matter of the people, and the people were really kind there. The residents also seem to be nice."

"I was pretty impressed by Covenant Living of Golden Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care. It's a nice place with a lot of space, and they have an outdoor area where they have gardens and so on. The place they showed was pretty good and pretty spacious. The staff was good."

Our house is located in the heart of the city on a quiet corner, where there are parks for our residents to walk to. Each resident has their own private room, fully furnished, including TV. Laundry is done everyday. The entire home is cleaned daily as well. Meals of choice are prepared for our residents, following any diet restrictions they may have. All meals are prepared and cooked fresh daily. NOTE: We do not allow alcohol, illicit drugs or pork. There is a big TV in our living room area where residents can gather to watch shows and movies, as well as converse and socialize. We provide culturally competent care for all clients.
