"Fountain of Love is only two miles from my house. They seem to be quite friendly. They have a deck and a really nice facility for showers and bathing in wheelchairs and a walk-in tub. Fountain of Love is a small place. My mother hasn’t actually moved in there yet. The staff came in and visited my mom twice and will move her Tuesday. Fountain of Love has a homey atmosphere. The residents seem pretty much at home. "

"My father-in-law is living in Coleman Fields. We picked it for him as it's smaller and had less people, and it's perfect for him since he is not a people person. My father-in-law has a studio apartment that has more than enough room. The dining room is very nice, spcacious, and the kitchen staff is just outstanding and accommodating. They could use a few more activities though. If my father-in-law doesn’t like something they'd fix him something different."

"My Grandmother selected Green Acres in 2015 over several homes in the area and never regretted a day. Over the course of a year they had some administrative changes that improved her care and training of the staff. Not only was she always treated respectfully, she had privacy and help when she needed it. Our family wouldn't hesitate to recommend it over other options in the area. "

"I have been to New Hope Assisted Living LLC. You have to be ambulatory to go. It’s very nice, but people who are not ambulatory or can’t walk, or use a cane or a walker, they can’t live there because of the small staff. It’s very nice though. They only have like 12 to 18 people or something like that. It’s very nice. It is out in the country, and a lot of the people have their little birdfeeders so they can watch the birds, flowers, and trees. It’s very nice for an elderly people who like the country or has always lived in the country. I like it, but it wasn’t what I was looking for. "

"The facility has just gone through a beautiful renovation. It is lovely and so comfortable for the residents, The rooms are so comfortable having their own bathrooms and little kitchen areas. I did not eat there, but the food always smelled delicious and I know they gave the residents what they wanted and special treats. The staff were all so wonderful and caring to my sister-in-law while she was there. She was not always easy to care for, but they stayed on top of her needs. The had fun and creative activities for the residence, from music, doing their nails, tea parties, happy hour, and special crafts for holidays. There are outdoor places to sit and the staff often will have special activities or treats outdoors. Mt. Pleasant is a nice town with many restaurants and activities with the college right there."

"My mother is at The Brook of Gladwin. It's a community housing with the standard amenities. They get meals in the dining rooms, and they have elective activities for them. The staff provides assistance with bathing and getting her out of bed. I talked extensively with the administrator, and I have a really comfortable feeling that she manages things well. The staff morale is good, and they're patient. They take care of the patients, they understand what their duties are, and they're professional. They do what needs to be done, but they're truly kind. They treat patients with respect and not all of those kinds of organizations perform that well. I'm very comfortable with how The Brook is doing. Her room is kind of a suite. They have meetings where they sing songs together and have stretching exercises for everybody. They have bingo and card playing. They have a beauty salon."

"We had an amazing experience with our mother's stay at Applewood. The home is small and homey, which is what our mother loved. The staff was so caring and attentive. We were always notified quickly with any changes in her health. Beverly felt so much love as did we from the staff. Kudos to Applewood - they are the Best!! "

"Colonial Villa was really nice. My mother-in-law is in her own apartment. It doesn't feel like an assisted living place or a hospital. The staff is wonderful. The dining room is really nice. She sometimes likes the food, and sometimes she doesn't. They have all kinds of activities there. They do aerobics, they go out to the movies, and they have a travel day once a month where they do activities that surround that region. They might make pottery and they'll have a dinner that's prepared for them by a chef of that particular region."

"My mom has been a resident at Cascades for a year. The owners and staff are very caring, kind and compassionate. Her room is nice and large so we can have several visitors at once. The residents are wonderful. My mom does bible study with her friends every morning. They also have live music on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. The place is very clean and the food is homemade and very good. The menu is always different for a great variety for the residents. I am thankful my mom is safe, well taken care of and fed good food!! Kendra Baillargeon"

"My father-in-law is in Royal View. It's been absolutely wonderful. The people are friendly and they are always checking up on him. He's made friends and they have fun community activities. He's getting really good care. It's a beautiful facility and it's convenient. They have exercise classes every day, bible study, and bingo, and they recently had a big picnic with all these antique cars and he absolutely loved that. They do field trips like to the local ice cream place, which he really enjoyed. There's a men's breakfast where the guys get together. The meals are wonderful, but they have to get themselves to the meals. They always try to sit him with the guys because there aren't as many. It's a very friendly atmosphere and it's homey. It's immaculate. This place is just the most beautiful place ever."
