My mom is at BrookStone Assisted Living. It was easy and well managed. She got a studio. They're clean, had new flooring in it, and paint. It was in good condition. The staff has been excellent so far. With the COVID going on you don't really get to go inside, but I spoke with her a few times on the phone and through the window.
I haven't really got to go in. As far as the smell, the cleanliness, the people's health, and all that stuff, I don't have any issues at all with it. I went into the facility, set up her room, but as far as being able to go to the dining room or any of that stuff, I have not been able to do that. They are doing activities, but I'm not involved. I know they go into her room and they do physical things one-on-one, but they had to keep their masks on and that sort of thing. I think right now it's pretty low key, but they're doing individual things in their room. Especially with the holidays coming up, they're not allowing a lot of traffic in. I think it's good for the money.
