I visited this facility

We are so thankful we found this memory care community. Top notch staff, top notch leadership, top notch care. My dad used to just lay in bed and watch TV, now dad has a purpose everyday and that takes the world off our shoulders.

About Fairmont Village in Peoria, Arizona

We are a unique, memory care community located in Peoria. Fairmont Village offers a family-style environment that provides comfort to individuals with memory loss. With an emphasis on the safety and security of our residents, Fairmont Village supports residents to live the day-to-day routines of their lives, all the while supported by a knowledgeable caregiving team, 24 hours a day.

Fairmont Village is a community that provides an unrestrained atmosphere where residents can enjoy themselves while feeling comfortable and secure. We want the care we provide to ease any stress and anxiety our families could be experiencing.

The living environment at Fairmont Village fosters the feeling of being safe at home. This environment significantly enhances the quality of life of the individual in need of memory care. Our serene courtyard is landscaped with shaded areas, accented with desert plants and parklike walking paths. Residents are encouraged to stroll the environment for the benefits of fresh air and exercise, knowing they are in a safe secure setting.

Daily Life includes activities that engage fine motor skills and high cognitive stimulation through social interaction, games, exercise, relaxation and leisure. Fairmont Village plans the activities geared towards resident’s needs, interests, and abilities. Residents are provided with respect, dignity, and grace as their lives and self-esteem are enhanced. Our philosophy is that each interaction is a meaningful connection.

Hospitality:

There is always something happening at Fairmont Village. From live entertainment to yoga, art classes, to religious services and more. We have plenty of space to host visits from family and friends.

Dining Experience:

The dining areas are set up for a pleasing experience that maintains dignity and involves familiarity and socialization while nourishing the body and replenishing energy. Mealtimes provide dementia – friendly foods, along with familiar food to enhance mealtime experience. Snacks in-between meals are provided to ensure diets and intakes are maintained.

Innovation:

Fairmont Village is committed to innovation. We have invested in an impactful change to the environment through circadian rhythm lighting systems. We are the first assisted living in Arizona to install this lighting system.

The environmental change is one of the few factors that can impact the quality of life for residents experiencing change without the use of medications. People with cognitive impairment are impacted by changes in their circadian rhythms or the body’s internal system that helps to understand when it is day and night as well as regulating sleep, and temperature. By having a system that emulates the lighting we hope to minimize the effects of sundowning and investing in maximizing our bodies' natural systems. Benefits we hope to see are:

  • Increased alertness in the morning
  • Productivity and concentration improvements
  • Improved mood and sleep
  • Reduction in falls
  • Improved appetite
