I toured Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen. It's a huge place, three or four stories, which was a long walk for my mom. My mom went on the tour with us and she was exhausted. They have benches to rest, but it does have a lot of walking, which can be a good thing, but if you want to get where you're going it's a walk. We ate there and the food was excellent. They have a craft room that Mom enjoys. They have crochet, which is the craft that she likes best of all. They have a pool, a workout room, and a rehab facility.

I visited Somerby At St. Vincent's One Nineteen. I was impressed with the community and the way the residents seemed to really enjoy living there. They enjoyed each other. The facility itself is very nice, clean, up-to-date, and inviting. I really wanted an outdoor space, and they just weren't around at first. But at the last minute of my visit, they had an opening of a 1-bedroom with a patio and that was perfect for me. I needed a little bit of outdoor space so I could plant some flowers and stuff, to have my own plants to nurture. It worked out fine. Their staff Michelle is wonderful. She answered all my questions and filled in the blanks for me. She was very welcoming and kind. They even sent me home with a fruit tray. That was wonderful, and I got to share it with my family. I was impressed by the restaurant and meal facilities. I was impressed also by the cleanliness of everything and the white tablecloths. The food was excellent. Another favorite thing was the possibility for outdoor activity because there's a huge walking trail that goes right by the apartment that I chose. I like that kind of stuff. It's just enough to get me outdoors. Also, my doctor's office is right across the road.

I loved everything about Somerby At St. Vincent's One Nineteen, except for the price. It was a beautiful place, they kept it up very nicely, and John was nice too. They gave us a nice fruit tray and some cheesecake for touring the place, and I thought that was a nice gesture. I think their customer support would be really good there.

I have been to Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen probably two years ago. My mom has a friend who lives there. They were very good. The facility was very nice, very lovely, and clean. The staff was nice. They had a gym, a pool, a workout room, and a bistro.

Somerby At St. Vincent's One Nineteen was great. I talked to them on the phone to see what their rates were, and then we went before I took my brother in. He liked it a lot. It's really big and walking is difficult for him, but they said he could have a scooter. Things are looking possible with Somerby. He was looking at their independent living for a one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartment. The rooms were lovely. The one he looked at had a nice little den area that would be great as an office area; it was a nice size. It was very clean and very nice, we liked it a lot. It was lovely and the staff was great. We didn't try the food, but it smelled wonderful. He was invited back for a meal.

Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen is walking distance from my home and it's an outstanding facility because it's attached to a suite of doctors' offices and a full service gym and spa. I really can't think of anything they could improve. It's a higher-end assisted living facility. It's the top of the class. If I could afford to put my brother there, I would've put him there, but it was just somewhat out of our budget. If you can afford it, I would recommend it. The staff is very professional, and it's very well-maintained. The facility is sitting in a very exclusive area out in Hoover and it's very upscale. I have a gym membership there and even before I went to visit Somerby I was so impressed with the facility. I can't say enough about them.

Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen was very nice and very clean. They look after the people pretty well. They assign a person who lives there to take them around and get them acquainted, so they'll know where to go. The meal was delicious. The activities were wonderful. Overall, it was a very good place. I would put my mother there in a minute.

I moved into Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen. I like everything and the people, mainly. I met some of the residents and a lot of the staff before who were all grand. I like the location. I have everything I need less than a mile away, like a huge shopping center, grocery stores, cleaners, coffee shops, and stores. As I have more and more needs, they are right here. They have activities like movies and trivia quizzes and serve three meals a day. They have transportations for doctors' appointments and do laundry service and housekeeping. They have exercise, card games, bridge, and board games. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. They always ask if you need anything.

I visited Sommerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen. It had individual apartments. I liked the closeness of the wellness center right there across the street, but it was still institutional. Other than that, it was a nice place, and I liked that. It had everything that my parents needed. They had activities that the seniors could go to. They arranged rides for them.

My experience with Somerby at St Vincent's One Nineteen was very good. The staff was attentive, good, neat, clean, and friendly. The facility is very clean and expensive. It's modern, and the staff seemed nice. There are a lot of different offerings for the people that live there. It was large, and there were different places to eat. It was nice.

I have already selected Somerby (Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen). It is very well kept, and the rooms are nice, large, and very clean. The food is excellent with lots of selection. The people are very nice. I just like everything about it. There are lots of outside activities and inside activities, including membership to a gym. The outside is gorgeous. They have a little lake area, and the aesthetic is just so nice. They attend theater and lots of activities out of town to different places. The staff answered all of my quesitons, were very informative, very courteous, very friendly, and very open. They have been there a long time, and I like the fact that the people who own the place are there almost daily having lunch with their clients. They’re getting information and feedback from the people who live there.

Somerby has three stories, and two stories are assisted living. The place is too far out, and there’s traffic in that area. The room doesn’t have a separation between the bedroom and the other areas. They have activities and bus trips.

The experience has been great so far, and my parents-in-law love it. The food is amazing. They have a little apartment that is comfortable and with a little patio. Everybody is really nice and welcoming. They really like it, and they are very happy with Somerby at St. Vincent's. The dining area is like a restaurant. It is clean and kind of like being in a resort. We were really impressed.

I'm extremely disappointed in this place. They promised the moon then as soon as I moved my parents in, everything they promised changed. Now, we have to have sitters to take care of Mom. We sold their home, now we are stuck looking for another place that will do what they promised they would do! I would never recommend them!!!

Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen is a beautiful facility. The staff people are very nice. They have a lot of activities going on everyday. They have a movie night -- they have a fairly large theater -- and it is almost every day of the week that they have some kind of activity like they bring someone in to do songs and play different instruments. They go all over the place -- they have been to the Helen Keller house, and they take them fishing; it is always something. And, of course, they have Bingo which they really like. They have Bingo every week, and they give out prizes. The food is wonderful too. I have eaten there many times with my mom, and the dining hall is just great. They are wonderful. They check on her probably at least five times a day if not more; they treat everybody like that, and this is assisted living. When she was in independent, they did not really check in on her because she did not need that service, but she would wear something on her wrist; if she fell down, she would just push the button, and immediately they were there to help her up. I am fifty-two years old, and if this building is still there and it is still as nice, I will be going there myself.

We like the attitude of the people who work at Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen -- that's why I chose it for my mom. For the most part, they are very good. Secondly, I like the size of the room. It has a bathroom, a kitchenette and it is carpeted. I think the food is very good. For assisted living, they have assigned seating for dining, but they have an option to go to the main dining room which is formal and very nice, and they can order off the menu. It's really nice. The sanitation is very good. My mom doesn’t participate in many activities, but they do offer activities, and they offer transportation to doctors and to shopping.

My parents are at Somerby. We chose this facility because it's close to where they lived before. The rooms are a little bit small, but just enough for both of them. The staff are very, very friendly. The people that lived there are also very friendly. The food is very good and my parents love it. They have a movie theater room where they show movies. They have a library which the residents could check out books and have internet anytime. They have a puzzle room that they could put puzzles together. They have activities where they go to certain places like the zoo. The people seemed to be happy there, so that's good.

Somerby at St Vincent's One Nineteen is excellent. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. We have activities every hour of the day, like exercises, dancing, crafts, music, bible studies and we also have worship service on Sundays. We have bus transportation to the local shopping centers and they can take us on trips around. They also have a car to take to us to doctor's appointments. They have everything we need.

The facility is clean, the faculty are always pleasant and helpful, the nursing staff is prompt with medications and interventions. I have eaten there several times and can personally vouch for the food quality, which is much better than typical cafeteria eating. Each floor in the building i frequented had a large, open area for activities such as reading, card games, or puzzles. We also used the shared space for her birthday parties, which easily accommodated 7-8 family members with room to spare. There are always activities posted in the elevator such as water aerobics, bingo, movie nights, etc. to keep everyone active and engaged. The rooms she has been in there are all nice and clean with fresh carpeting and hardwood floors. Privacy is always respected as the staff always knocked and were very respectful, but whenever there were medical issues, the staff was prompt in detecting the problem and alerting the paramedics. You get what you pay for.

The home was nice. There were certain amenities that fit our needs very well. The fact that it was independent living was a plus. We do not need to pay for individualized care. If there is a medical emergency, we are right next to the hospital. On the fun side of things, they had everything from a pool table to a movie theater to a workout facility. I do not see how anyone can get bored at this facility! There is no reason to leave for any need. Since my father is an avid fisherman, the stocked pond is a definite plus. The staff was very nice and helpful. The no upfront fee is great if you are strapped for cash. Electricity, water, pest control and long distance phone service is all included in the monthly bill. In all, I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking in the market.
