My husband is a client of BrightStar. He had back surgery July 20th and is still having trouble getting around. I had to return to work and didn't want to leave him home alone for 8 hours. This has been working out very well so far. I feel he is in good hands while i'm at work.. I have been very happy with this agency. Olu is really on top of everything. We really enjoy Rolonda, she is the person that works with us. My husband was hesitant at first but he came around. Rolonda came and she fit right in. She does light house cleaning, make the bed is made, and even fix him lunch on some days.. She’ll pretty much do whatever we ask of her. If we’re going out to an appointment, she is right with us. .She is extremely sensitivity with whatever my husband needs. She jumps right up to help my husband even when I'm there. I was really impressed with that. She seems to really put my husband first and focuses on him even when I'm there. I definitely recommend BrightStar Care 0f Center City!

BrightStar Care of City Center came highly recommended by the staff of the senior community where my uncle was living in an independent living unit. My uncle had had a fall inside his apartment and got pretty banged up. On top of that, he was pretty confused about how it happened, confirming our suspicions that our uncle was having difficulty taking care of himself. Before my sister and I could arrange for our uncle to move to a personal care unit, we wanted to hire an aide for him who could look in on him for a few hours a day, remind him to take his medications according to their proper schedule, and make sure the tasks of daily living (eating, bathing, cleaning up, etc) were getting accomplished. We called BrightStar Care on a Thursday and were able to get an aide in place for that Monday. The service that my uncle, sister and I got was top-notch at each step along the way. The owner of BrightStar Care of City Center, Olu, was easy to reach by phone, text and email and was happy to answer all our questions. My sister and I believed that our uncle would be an unwilling and unpleasant client to work with, but that did not deter the BrightStar staff from providing our uncle with cheerful and professional service. To my sister’s and my amazement, our uncle came to value the care he received from his two aides – which is high praise, coming from him. My uncle has a long-term care policy which mostly reimbursed the costs of his care. My sister knew of another home healthcare company with lower hourly rates that would have been fully covered, but in the end, we were very fortunate to have selected BrightStar. The paperwork for my uncle’s insurance claim was substantial, and my uncle had to pay for services up-front and then hope and wait to be reimbursed. It took a while to get my uncle’s claim officially opened after all the proper documentation was submitted to show that a) my uncle’s need was valid, b) his living accommodations were in compliance, and c) BrightStar Care was a qualified homecare provider. It was only after I started submitting our paid receipts from BrightStar that the insurance company then asked for extra documentation before they’d agree to reimburse us. I really have to hand it to Olu for going the extra mile for us and working with the insurance company to make sure they had everything they needed. I truly can’t say enough about the quality of care that my uncle received and the customer service that Olu provided for the entire time we worked with them. There were times when we needed to shift the aides’ schedules and there was never a problem doing this. On the final day, when my uncle was being moved over to a personal care unit, we were able to have the aide stay for a longer shift to take care of my uncle while the movers were busy. Both my uncle’s main aide and Olu kept my sister and I updated with reports, concerns, and suggestions on things we could do to better meet my uncle’s needs and we greatly appreciated all their input. BrightStar Care of Center City fully deserves their high recommendation.

The patient is my husband and he's been using BrightStar Care of City Center for more than a month now. We've had two healthcare aides and they've both been excellent. Catherine was with us for about three weeks. She left us only because she was having difficulty getting to our home and we understood that. She was excellent and she was a good fit. The company had this wonderful policy where they come out and they interview you and they get a feel for what your needs would be and we explain it to them. Of course, they talk to an individual and they interview them. They come out and meet us. We explain what we expect of them in terms of bathing and maybe little housekeeping services. Right now, my husband cannot walk, so we use the sit and stand equipment. Both caregivers were familiar with it, which was excellent. Right now, we have the lift-up chair and that helps to transfer him from one place to another, like from his recliner to his powered wheelchair, and they have knowledge of that. We recently had one for about two-and-a-half weeks now, Tai. We've been very pleased with her. She too agreed that she likes us a little bit. She's a wonderful aide for my husband, and she has a gentle and caring manner and she is knowledgeable about this equipment and how to operate it. She does a little bit of housekeeping and we're pleased with her. I fell in love with BrightStar years ago when I saw their advertisement on TV. I was very impressed with them when they came to us and talked to us. We contacted them, we wanted their service and we've been very pleased with it since then. I'm happy to promote the experience that we have had which has been a very good one. I like the way they follow up to make sure that whatever they discussed with you at the initial interview, what your expectations would be in terms of the person coming to take care of your loved one, that has all remained true. They come back and follow up to find out if everything is working out well. I love that approach. The second person we now have thought we were good and we're very happy with her, too. I think she's an excellent fit and she lives locally. I want the people who service my husband to feel like they're coming into a family, like we're family. We get to know each other like when they come in and visit my husband, they give him like maybe a half an hour to just sit and chat with him so they can get to know each other. From there, they proceed with the things that they're going to do. They make a good connection, which I think is beautiful. I like their policy of bringing the person to the patient, let him get a chance to know them before they start the service. Then they follow up to make sure that everything is OK. I think that's a plus for them. They're trying to make a good fit. They have nurses and social workers that come out to meet with you. They were able to give me the hours that I had asked for. I asked for 5:00 to 8:30 and that seems to be OK for those have come to see us. They've been able to provide the time and the care that we requested. The billing is according to what's best for you. They give you an option. I do mine through the credit card which is very convenient for me. If you have a question about it, they offer you assistance. I like the way they take care of my husband. I would highly recommend someone to them. Their service is quick.
