"I'm using Right at Home Eastern Queens. I get the help needed inside the house, but I need the aide to drive my parents to some of the doctors' appointments. However, none of the aides can even do that, and they can't even roll her up and down the ramp. They oversold their capabilities in that respect. The cost is comparable with the other providers. They do light cleaning, help with bathing, walk them around, organize cabinets, and do personal grooming, which is the most important thing. They're very good aides. One of the positive things they do is provide services to on a discount for going back and forth to the hospital and the doctor. They also have a good RN case supervisor."

"We are using Elder Home Care for my mom. They've been great at getting us the particular aides that we are looking for. My mom requires 24-hour care, so they've been wonderful. We originally started with just a couple of hours, mainly on the weekends. Once my mother needed 24-hour care, they got us to aides who would provide 24-hour care. My mom is at high risk of falling, so they watch her for that. My mother is pretty independent, so they are just to watch her do her normal day-to-day activities. They do help her with exercises and walking. They are making sure she walks and exercises during the day so that she doesn't just sit around."
