They could do more with housekeeping and with cooking for them. This is a skill-level they should be better with. They do not know who to follow the recipes to cook for them. Initially, they were able to break down his medications for him for the week and then put it in his pill boxes for him. They stopped doing this and are no longer allowed to help him with that. Any care agency should at least be able to look at the pill boxes and make sure that they are being taken and to let us know when something is amiss. They may not be able to put pills in, but they could at least monitor it.

I would appreciate it if they would do more housekeeping for us. They make it a point to let me know when someone is coming or not coming or if they are going to be late for any reason. The problem I have is that I am here with my loved one everyday, and I know them better than they do. I think they need to listen to me more and my requests and what I feel is best for them, rather than coming in here and doing what they think is best.

Lately, the caregivers come and it seems like they don't want to clean. They just want to take care of my loved one, and then sit on their phones or whatever. They are not really taking care of the house and their idea of light cleaning is not mine. I have also been awarded an extra day of care, and the first week I got it, but after that one of the caregivers called out and they never found anyone to cover. Whenever I ask about this, I just hear that they will look into it. The caregivers make life easier when they do their work. When they help my husband take showers and eat breakfast, it helps. My husband can be a little bit stubborn and doesn't want to get up. He wants to be left alone, so I can't blame them for that.
