The staff need to be more friendly with their clients. I've had problems with arguing with staff. In my house not a good sign. And that has been a major issue. They need to be more friendly with their Clients. They have a boss that will hear your issue and try to correct it. This is not supposed to be a ghetto type of relationship, it's a business.. Because this is where they're paid checks coming from. Many problems with staffing for their clients. That's a major issue a lot of times. I did not have any staff here at my house for my mother with Dimensia. So staffing is a major issue with that company. And the issue with holidays, you only get 4 hours or no hour. , That's a major issue. So prior to signing check out holiday staffing. The staff is not very good on a regular scheduled day. The Aide were pretty good for the most part. It was getting people to come to work as they would say and communication was a problem well that too is on Management not the employees. Well I had to rate them a 3 star my experience wasn't all that great. I had to call almost everyday to see if I had someone coming to my house for coverage.

My father has been using Home Instead for about a year now. I really appreciate the communication from the office staff. They're really great about that. If there is some kind of issue whether a caregiver had a child that's sick, something of that nature, we always know very quickly. They do a great job of getting somebody else out there. I want to compliment the robust caregiving staff as well. Everybody that we've had out there has really done a great job. There have been a few different faces over that point in time, so I just want to kind of verify or validate that they are very reliable and on top of that, really great communication to the families. Billing is very effective in the sense that I get it via email and in the mail. It's easier for me to get those auto payments set up and get it taken out more regularly. We probably had ten caregivers over the course of the year, not ten regulars, but we probably had two or three regulars and then people have filled in here and there for a week or a few days. Other people might feel hesitant to have somebody like that, but we didn't really have that option. My dad needs somebody in there and they're not sending anybody that doesn't have the skill requirements for their clients. They send someone out with a client, so it's never just some new person showing up at your house that day. I really appreciate that as well. I have really been impressed with every single individual that's come over. We're using them three days a week for about seven hours a day. Their pricing is very competitive with everyone else that we talked to.

What techniques or practices would be helpful for dementia client that does not enjoy childish activities? Would staff be able to assist with and help client with mobility as disease progresses? How to redirect and handle aggressive and combative client?
