This agency was renamed “Heal to Thrive” from “Taking Care of Our Seniors” (TKOOS). They provide in-home care services. They do not provide medical care. I hired them on August 14, 2023 to care for my seriously ill husband. I paid, in advance, $7800 for thirty 11 hour days of service. My husband passed on August 29, 2023, after only four days of getting services. The contract stated that a refund would be given within 60 days for unused services. I didn’t get a refund in November. I didn’t get a refund in December, but was told that a cashiers check had been mailed to me. It never arrived. It is now the middle of January, still haven’t gotten a refund. I’ve been offered a refund of $4292 of the $7800 that I paid. I have documentation and evidence of every statement I’ve made.

My family used this company for an elderly relative and not one thing that was promised was done. "Caregivers" did not do what we were told they would do. Contract was never sent, they require a month's payment upfront and will NOT refund unused money. Instead they threaten the family with going after additional funds and/or lawsuit.

So far, Taking Care Of Our Seniors has been wonderful. The caregivers are great, here 24/7, and perform well. I have two girls who alternate. They're really friendly, and my husband seems to appreciate them. They've given me a chance to rest and do my thing.
