I have tried other caregiving agencies which had significantly lower hourly rates or lower required hourly minimums and learned the hard way that one gets what he pays for! I cannot endorse Visiting Angels enthusiastically enough: the three caregivers who have come into my home have all been friendly, kind, and helpful, as well as being good workers, absolutely true to theIr employer’s name! In a word, excellent! I would recommend Visiting Angels to anyone who needs some help continuing to live independently. The caregivers they have sent out have assisted me with bathing and hygiene, and a variety of light household chores. They have also helped me with exercises my PT prescribed for me to do with assistance. Also important to mention, their workers have always been punctual.

Some of the caregivers were more into it as a real vocation, while some would play on their phone the whole time. We had two really great ladies that helped out a lot. In between we had some other really good ones too, but the people don't last very long in that position and my mother-in-law was a difficult person. Sometimes, it felt like they weren't matching people to my loved one but rather just trying to fill the shift.

Your experience with Visiting Angels will depend on how much care you need. If you only need someone to sit there and make sure the client eats, then I wouldn't recommend Visiting Angels. Visiting Angels should do some housecleaning. They are only there to make sure the client doesn't fall, and other than that, they don't really do anything.
