New Perspective - West Bend

My parents are moving to New Perspective Senior Living. I like the floor plan, the amount of different activities and the amount of different social gathering places they had in the building. They have a unique floor plan that no one else has, they have a den which fit my parents. They feel better there than any place else. It's in town so it's close to shopping and activities that they would be going to. In a normal world they have a theater, they have a pool, they have a couple of outdoor spaces, and they have 2 or 3 indoor spaces that are social gathering places where they do activities. They have exercises every day. They just had a lot of different things that they can do. I like the décor, the atmosphere but the floor plan was the biggest factor for me.

I was impressed and at ease the moment I stepped through the front door for my initial tour. I felt as though my mother was already a resident. My initial tour was w/o mom as I have many questions I like answers to before I take her with. Of course the main questions are about the care my mother will receive. On that tour we walked by a wall of pictures which I questioned, I was told " this is a picture wall of all of our employees and when we find a good, caring employee we do anything we can to keep that employee!" Baffled by that answer I replied "what did you just say?" She repeated herself and I said "impressive, you don't hear that often!" That told me one thing, THEY CARE and that was all I needed to hear! Since my mother took up residency in the assisted living facility it has been proven, from the Director, administrators, nursing staff, caregivers, food service to the concierge! It's a very comforting feeling knowing that your loved one is being well taken care of! Meals are served per your order in a restaurant setting, activities are numerous with community involvement, live music weekly and daily Happy Hour in the Pub. I will recommend this facility to anyone that asks! CG

New Perspective West Bend is new and looks like a fancy resort; it's really upper-class. We walked in and it was really nice, but the price is high too. We saw the food and it looked perfect. We saw them doing activities with the residents, although they mostly have the same activities as other places. They're doing a good job. Everything is nice, clean, and they take care of the residents.

New Perspective had very caring staff, and was very clean. It was not like a nursing home, but like a hotel when you walk in. They had a fountain, like a waterfall, and a lot of comfy furniture around. The location was conveniently right off the freeway. They had gardens around, and a courtyard with flowers for residents to enjoy. They had music, bingo, sing alongs, day trips, brain fitness, and balloon volleyball. They had a lot going from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

New Perspective | West Bend has nice-sized rooms, but the place is older. They have a pool, a game room, and a lot of other amenities. The director was very helpful and friendly. They have a nice-looking cafeteria.

Mom is at New Perspective Senior Living - West Bend. They pay close attention to her. She participates in the activities and is served three meals a day. The staff is good at communicating with the family and very responsive, but they are more reactive than proactive. They drive Mom to her doctors' appointments.
