Kirkland Crossings was a very comfortable place. It is not a new building by any means, but it's very nicely kept. The apartment had plenty of space for one person. Katie was very friendly, very informative, and answered all my questions. It was nice working with her. The dining room was very nicely situated. It's roomy and looks nice. They have an exercise room, activities such as puzzles, reading (they have lots of books for people to read), and different things.

We visited Kirkland Crossings. We were just blown away by the staff being very positive, very caring, patient, and communicative. I've been talking with a person, Kathie, at Kirkland for weeks (if not a couple of months) about the possibilities, and she was just terrific. The staff was terrific. Cleanliness was terrific. Really, the overall atmosphere was very calming and soothing. I can't think of any drawbacks at all. For memory care, because they were individual rooms, I can see that as both a positive and a negative. Sometimes I think a person who is lonely wants a roommate, but getting along with the roommate is also a concern, so I see that both ways. We observed that. While they are private rooms, the doors of the hallway are always open, so they are able to be monitored as well as always have access to the community if they want it. Amenities and services seemed terrific. I didn't get a chance to have a meal there or anything, so I can't speak to the food quality. Within the memory care facility, everything looked very positive. My sister and I were very ready to put a deposit down for my dad, but stepmom said no, so that was the only reason that he wasn't there already. It turns out it's a good thing to keep him in the same building with my stepmom. We did get a calendar of events and it looked terrific. People could be just as busy as they want to be, but it's all voluntary (so they can be left alone if they want to be or skip a couple of things here and there). It looked very positive and very encouraging, but not demanding. It seemed just right. There were craft programs and music programs, and I think there was a daily chapel service if they were interested in a church program. Every so often a companion animal would come in. A therapy animal, whether a dog or a cat, would come in. We were there early December, so they were looking at some of the special Christmas things to be doing this season. There were even more singalongs than usual perhaps, so it was all positive.

Kirkland Crossings was extremely nice. It was by far the nicest facility I've seen, and it looked like they had the best food. Unfortunately, it's way out of my price range. Katie was very nice and very accommodating. I went back to see her again with my daughter, because my daughter wanted to see the place too. It was clean and everybody looked happy. The rooms were fine, the food looked great, but then again it's $30 a day to eat there; I can't afford to do that. The facility was very clean, very nice, and very updated. It's very small compared to everybody else. There's only sixty units there, maybe that's why they could keep it so clean and nice.

We found Kirkland Crossings to be convenient. It is a big place. It is close to where we used to live. They have activities, and the people we talked to seemed very happy with it. We liked it too. The rooms are comfortable. They have separate buildings there. They don't have a swimming pool, but they do have a library. We had the staff members take us around to see a room; they were very gracious that way. The place looked clean. The location was also good. It is in a comfortable neighborhood and it is right near a shopping center.

My mom will be moving to Kirkland Crossings Senior Housing and we really like that facility. When you get in there, it feels like a community where they have a ton of social activities. It includes all utilities in the payment. They have town home for couples who wants to stay there. They have different sizes of units. They have two-bedroom but my mom is in a one-bedroom plus den unit. My mom's unit is facing the pond. It has a washer and a dryer. It has a walk in shower, which is very convenient for elderly people. Instead of a key, they have a key pod to electronically unlock doors. They have full dining services and you can pay for as much or as little meal that you want. They also had a grill outside the dining room. So, sometimes they have a grill nights. They also have what they call theme nights like Mexican nights or Italian nights. On occasions, they have wine and beer like a happy hour for people. They had an outdoor area or patio with wicker chairs where you can go out and sit. They do have shuttle services for outings, but you don't have to pay extra for them as it is also part of the service. They have a library. They have emergency, on-call twenty-four hours a day. They also have a separate area for assisted living and if my mother needs assisted living, she will be a priority as oppose to other people who will get in there. The only negative is that because they are very popular, they always have a waiting list. So, it takes a while to get her in there.
