Stepping Stone

We visited Stepping Stone while in the region looking at assisted facilities for our uncle. We did not have an appointment, but the staff was very accommodating and let us take a tour. The exterior appeared very well maintained. The grounds were nicely landscaped, with tree-lined walkways and tranquil seating areas. The fitness center was impressive, with regular exercise classes and assistance whenever needed. The staff ensures the safety of all the seniors in every way possible. The communal rooms for reading, card games, exercise, and a number of other interesting activities. There was a large auditorium for interesting group events.The outside activities feature many interesting cultural events in the area and surrounding region -- which regularly hosts theater, film, music and art gatherings. Healthy snacks are offered regularly and whenever requested.The dining room had plenty of space with beautiful furniture. The menus all had healthy food options for all diets. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The living spaces were generous, and the studio and one bedroom we saw was beautifully decorated with lots of fresh air and light. All units were well designed, efficient and yet still spacious. This facility accommodates all ambulation levels and as a resident's needs change, their care is easily adjusted, This living environment is nicely designed, with the seniors in mind and includes everything they need, plus more. We were impressed with how the staff interacted so well with the residents and they all seemed quite content.
