I am so happy they we chose Red Cedar Canyon Senior Living for my mom. First of all, the staff made it very homey for her…. Not sterile and cold like so many assisted living facilities. I toured multiple facilities before selecting RCC and in my opinion the choice was clear. My mom’s apartment was beautiful and well maintained; the administration is well run, she absolutely loved the food served in the dining room, the nursing staff is top notch, and the activities director was simply amazing! I cannot say enough how warm, friendly, caring, and professional the entire staff is. Everyone at RCC is dedicated to providing the best care and experience possible. Thank you Red Cedar Canyon for being so wonderful to my mom.

My mother-in-law was in Red Cedar Canyon Assisted Living for a number of years, and it's a really good place. I like their facilities, and the nursing director there was outstanding. She just provided so much care and information to my wife regarding her mother's care. She helped us deal with some things regarding dementia. She was very informative, professional, and caring. We love her. The nurses and CNAs were awesome. There were tons of activities, they had a special happy hour event on Thursday or Friday nights, and the family was invited. They had music and things like local trades and craftsmen that would come in to sell homemade stuff. It was a really fun event. And we would take our grandkids with us and they would offer food for the night, might be tacos, might be something Italian, and then we'd look at some of the stuff, and there was music. It was just a fun thing to go participate in with your loved one in the home.

I have experience with other facilities and by far Red Cedar Canyon has been the best. The activity director is there Mon-Fri engaging residents every minute of her day. She is full of compassion and understanding. The facility is always kept clean with an amazing cleaning person. She even cleaned off a chair that had been soiled. The nursing staff worked well with the hospice staff. The care team was full of compassion and love. They explained everything to my dad with love. They not only supported his needs but the needs of his family who sat next to his bedside for 10 days. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

We chose Red Cedar Canyon Senior Living for my grandparents. They just have a caring staff and the place is nice. Grandma was there before, and we just tried to go back with them. The facility itself is awesome, and it's beautiful. The staff is really caring and they have a lot of activity, so it works out well. Grandma liked the food when she was there. They have several activities. It's just very clean, they take care of the place well. They have a gym, salon. There's a doctor that comes in weekly. There's music. They're on the higher end.

We liked Red Cedar Canyon and we're very impressed with it. It was small but immaculate. We really liked the person who showed us around. We liked everything about it. They had raised garden beds in the summer and in the winter they do fresh flower arranging with the residents. We saw two 1-bedrooms which were very clean and the carpet was new. Everything seemed fresh and clean. They also told us about the food, which is all fresh. Nothing is canned. They also had snacks out. They have a salon onsite and they will bring in a barber or stylist once a week. It was the one we liked the most and it was the best.

My Mother is in the assisted living area and we have been beyond pleased with her care and improvement. Her corner unit is so cute. I think I'll move in! Julie is a great employee, peppy and uplifting to all the residents. The food crew looks like the really enjoy their work and the food is quite good. My Mom has gained the weight she needed to.

My grandfather was neglected when he lived here. He ended up soiling himself and no one checked on him and he couldn't get out of his chair for days. It became infected.

We had a relatively bad experience with Red Cedar Canyon. The general staff is ok, but Red Cedar Canyon, and specifically the director of Red Cedar Canyon, repeatedly tried to charges for services that were not performed. We ended up moving my relative to Minnesota where, in my opinion, there are many better options with better service, better activities and a much better director. My recommendation would be to research other assisted living centers in both WI and MN.

My mother has been at Red Cedar Canyon Assisted Living for the past two years. The staff there is amazing. They all really like working there and it shows. My mom can be demanding and they are always there to help her. The activities director is really good at getting the residents involved. She even has them singing through the exercise class. Everyone seems to love it. My mom looks forward to it everyday. I looked at many places before having mom live at Red Cedar Canyon. I believe it is the best in the area.

Red Cedar Canyon Assisted Living is indeed a beautiful facility with a wonderful caring staff BUT the services given have changed dramatically. My mother has lived there for the past two years. The new administrator has just announced that residents will now be charged 10.00 per unit of time for any assistance needed. The unit of time is 10 minutes. This applies to all types of assistance. If you are having a confusing day and just need someone to come in and help you with your TV or assist you with the bathroom, you will be charged 10. per hour. If you need a nurse to assist you, that will be a 20.00. This hardly seems fair. There is also the complaint of the long wait for assistance. Many say they wait 20-25 minutes. This could literally make a difference in these residents survival. My mother is living there. I see her most everyday so I can assist her but many do not have anyone. The atmosphere there has gone from a happy secure place to a place of insecurity. Greed does that.

This facility has beautiful, private apartments for each resident. The care givers are so kind and caring to each resident and show how they care and make each resident feel secure and comfortable. It gives each one the feeling it is their home, they do not feel they are in a nursing home. I would recommend to any one looking for a homey place for a relative.
