I chose Encore Parkside because it is a sister company of the other facility I was in. They would pay up to $1,500 for moving costs. I just take my cat with me as they take pets there, and they are offering a third month free for rent. It's a newer building. I'm in a wheelchair and they have three foot doors here that made a huge difference to me. The staff is very nice. They're good people. The food is better. They have a nice cinema room and a nice chapel. The activities are OK here. It's just exorbitantly expensive for what you get.

The interior is clean. The person who helped me during my tour was fine, and she mostly explained everything. They provide three meals a day, they have manicures every week, card games almost every day, and other games too. They play different things, and they also have coffee chats where you have coffee and talk to people.

It was a wonderful place. The staff was very helpful, not pushy, and thorough. They were very engaging with everybody and provided a great experience. It’s a perfect place.

We were treated very nicely, they were very friendly. We got to talk to a couple of residents there, and we took it that they would like us there very much. We did like the apartments; they were a little bit small, but it would be adequate. They’re very clean; it’s very nice and quiet. They had a library, transportation, and an exercise room. The dining room was very nice. We liked it very much.

For the limited time that we were in here, the facility was bright and sunny, and it was certainly on our top consideration. It all looked very good, and it was also a little bit bigger. The director sat down and took us around and showed us everything. The staff seemed to be nice. I also saw some residents, and they seemed fine and happy and fit in well.
