"The Colonial Vista Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center was nice and clean. The people were also nice, and the staff was very friendly. They showed me an apartment, and it was very clean and had a good view. It's not a brand-new place, but it looks like it's very functional. We toured the independent living and the apartment was nice, and they had all the handicap-accessible stuff you'd need. I asked the staff that toured us if they could put it in a grab bar by the toilet, and they said yes. Their dining room is nice and they do restaurant-style seating, and so it's like going to a restaurant. The place seemed very clean and there didn't seem to be anything broken."

"I toured Avamere at Wenatchee. It had lots of amenities. It was very clean and the staff was super nice. The one that I looked at was really nice. It had high ceilings, so it felt really spacious. Kevin, the gentleman that showed me around, is very knowledgeable. He introduced me to a lady that takes care of planning all the activities. Sounds like they have quite a bunch of different activities they can do. They can take them on excursions."

"I was in Regency Wenatchee Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for a while. All the nurses and the people that come in and help you and stuff were very nice and very friendly. Any time I needed something, I rang the bell, and they were right there. During meals, you had a choice whether you wanted to went down to the dining room or to stay in your room and they would bring your dinner to you. There were a couple of times I did go down to the dining room and the ones that go down to the dining room were people who were in electric wheelchairs or they had walkers and canes. When I was there, nobody talked to me except the people who worked there. I had a lot of trouble with the food. They were bringing it to me in my room. They had set menus for each meal and if you didn't want what they had, they had extra stuff that people could order instead of that. I'm diabetic, so a lot of the food that they brought to me was very high in carbs, which is not good. There's a lot of food that I don't eat because of the medications I take and I would ask them, "Please do not put this on my food" and my food would come and it'd be there and I'd call them up and I said, "You made a mistake again," but when the food came, the stuff I could eat was good. They had a few activities, maybe two a day, and it was usually something at that time I wasn't able to participate in. They had places where they would have arts and crafts and bowling and stuff like that. There was another one where you could go in and read books, play the piano, and put together puzzles."

"Highgate genuinely cares for their people. It is an outstanding place because of their staff and the actual facility. First of all, the facility is gorgeous with beautifully clean rooms and is safe. They have multiple safety pull cords in the apartment, many people that check on my mom frequently and have great protocols for Covid in this unprecedented time. The staff is a wonderful, caring group that checks on my Mom often, too. I commonly hear staff in the backgound when I call my mom. The people of Highgate are extremely friendly, pleasant and very patient while interacting my mom. The staff is always cheerful in the background and try to accommodate my mother's needs and wants. Many staff members are on speed dial and I am told to call them anytime with concerns or questions. Highgate staff sincerely want to do what is best for my mom and our family."

"My great-grandmother fell in her driveway and broke her hip. After rehabilitation, it was clear that it would no longer be wise for her to live by herself. My family decided that she would move to Western Saddlerock Adult Family Home, just a few miles from where she previously lived. Throughout her time there, the staff was always courteous, respectful and hospitable. In this home, the overarching goal was to promote a family atmosphere rather than that of a nursing home or assisted living facility. It felt like the caretakers truly cared about my great-grandmother. They were firm with important things such as making sure the residents regularly took their medicine, but they worked hard to maintain everyone's dignity. Also, they were never too busy to be friendly to my family and I when we visited. In particular, I remember when the director of the home took 30 minutes of his time to converse with us as a group. Overall, my experience with this home was very positive. "

"My friend was at Riverwest Assisted Living and it was a beautiful place. It was great, they were well cared for, and it was really clean. We were allowed to go in and have lunch with our friend. The food was good with a good variety, and it was a good, nutritious meal. Everybody was friendly and his care was really well. "The assisted living provider structure the home so that it felt like a home. The residents seemed to feel as though their rooms really belonged to them, which seemed really important given some of the residents levels of confusion. The facility was clean, and the employees were kind. I would say that some of the employees could benefit from being more presentable and professional. The facility is in a small town, so I felt that some behaviors were more lax than they should have been. The second facility that she moved into, under the same ownership, provided a better living space, and included a sitting room and a yard, which was a vast improvement from the flagship home. I did not try the food, but it appeared unappetizing, which seems to match expectations. The overall quality of the facility, I would estimate, would be considered acceptable for the price range, but would most likely be rendered non-competitive as is, in a larger city. I will say that the staff's communication with the family exceeds expectations without seeming to cross any lines and violating the residents right to privacy. When there have been emergencies, we are always notified as soon as action is taken, which is a comfort when you can no longer help your family member and are confronted with the decision to place them in a "home". "

"My mother is in Mountain Meadows. They’re great, and I was really impressed with them. The residents were happy and the working staff is just real caring and goes above and beyond to make everyone happy. They try to accommodate what the residents need. They have an activity room and an activities director, but my mom has dementia. They have different rooms; my mom is in a studio, but they have rooms where there’s a bedroom, living room, and a little kitchen. The dining room looks nice, but I haven’t eaten there. "

"My mom is in the Cambridge. She's been there for eight years and it's excellent. Mom's level of care needs more observation than they would have been able to give, but she's coming along, and doing better, so I think it's OK. They serve three meals a day. They have housekeeping, and a program that includes exercise, Bingo, and word games. They have entertainment come in, Bible study, and church service on Sunday afternoon. The staff is just really kind. However, they could have a bigger variety of food."
