"We went to Brookdale Stanwood. I would rate everything the same as the other place with the exception of it being an older unit. The rooms are a little smaller, but the core of what you need at that point in your life, they had it just as good as the other place as far as the people interacting, how they care about their people, and how the organizations run. As you're walking around, they acknowledge each other. There's a camaraderie. The dining area was open and good. It's an older building, but it's clean and well-maintained. They offered meals and changed the beds and the linens and all of that. They had activities."

"Brookdale Montclair Poulsbo was wonderful. I liked it. I liked everything about it, but the area that my husband was going to be in kind of made me sad. It was kind of depressing and I didn't feel that at the other places, but it might have just been the day I was there. The lady who gave the tour of the memory care was wonderful. They had a lot of good activities and things going on even while I was there and they have a nice walkway. They have a beautiful living room area and games and things. I thought it was very nice."

"I toured Edmonds Landing and it definitely was a very old building, and much smaller. The staff was wonderful, the one who did the tour, and they made sure we were introduced to people. The rooms were pretty small. They were like in the low 300 square feet. We had a little tea sort of thing and dessert. They said they had a little bistro area, for lack of a better term. From the discussion, they had lots of activities and they were well-timed. They have people come in and play music. This was towards the end of our looking, and by this time I'm realizing that my mother-in-law, who's 89 and a half years old, is a heck of a walker. She doesn't use a cane or a walker, and she will go. She's extremely physically fit, with just her dementia and her cognitive issues. We were concerned about that, and they said we could get her like a watch that has an identifier where she is. I thought the place was nice enough and the room was nice enough. It was not at all decorated in my style, but it was something she would like. But we were more and more concerned about her leaving. In the end, it just wasn't the right place for her, and I didn't pursue it."

"I toured Fields Senior Living at Smokey Point. It was elegant, beautiful, and it was just a nice place. The staff was nice. The dining areas were like restaurant quality. Everyone was so nice and professional. Jackie was so friendly and lovely to deal with."

"Ascent Adult Family Home LLC was clean. They had a locked closet that you had to have a code to get into for the medications. The lady showed me around and she was just very nice and friendly. They were going to be getting the room ready (it wasn't ready yet) for my sister. They have to do an assessment first, so she would work with me on my sister. It's a home. From the second floor, getting to the yard in the back would be difficult for the people, but they've got a deck in the summer where people can go out onto and they have two of them. One had raised beds around the whole perimeter so that people could do gardening in it. It was comfortable-looking and it just seemed very nice. The lady I met was the owner. She lived downstairs. She was very personable and caring. They just didn't have a lot of parking, because it's in a neighborhood. So, their parking was not very good to go and visit."

"My mom will move into Fieldstone Memory Care of Marysville. It was very nice. It is beautiful. I was very impressed with the furnishings. It's very clean, homely, and comfortable. The staff was nice and very professional, answered all my questions, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and seemed to be very caring. The dining area looked nice. They were all involved. They were exercising, and they were sitting in a chair doing some dancing. It was fun. They seemed to be having a good time."

"I'm moving in here. I like that they provide three meals a day, and I like the cleanliness of the place. The apartment is small though. It has a refrigerator and a kitchenette. The staff members are very helpful. I also have access to a beauty shop and the post office. They provide clean sheets and towels, and they clean every other week. They have a lovely dining room, too."

"My father-in-law ended up in Heritage Court Assisted Living. It's a secure facility, and so far, so good. He's still trying to escape, but we know he's safe, and they have a very caring staff. I think they're doing a great job, with everything I've seen so far. They're patient and they're kind. They're doing a great job, considering that they're dealing primarily with late stage dementia and Alzheimer's patients. His room is small and it's sparse, but that's really all he needs. It's small, clean, and it's good considering his condition. Their dining hall and activity room are one and the same. They have one upstairs and one downstairs. The facility is functional, bright, and upstairs has a lot of light and lots of windows. The activity/dining hall is very bright and airy. It's an older building but they're taking care of it. They have a variety of snacks like fresh-baked cookies, a refrigerator with juice drinks, yogurt, sodas, and such that are available to the residents all the time. The day that I toured, they had about half a dozen residents doing coloring. They have activities and their activities are appropriate for their population. He's on Medicaid. He's getting basic care, so I'd say it's good value."

"Windsor is a very up-to-date, very comfortable, and well-kept place. Everything is beautiful. It is very homey. There is something going on for the people around. They showed me a room. It wasn't occupied but it was totally furnished. It had a bedroom, a kitchen and a restroom. It was just perfect. Dining was all family-style but at the same time everything was served to you. The waiters were like in a very prestigious restaurant. They were all very courteous and very fast. Food was great."

"Sunrise of Edmonds was very nice and very clean. I had a very good feeling overall about the place. Wendy was very professional and very thorough in her tour and information about the facility. The studio was nice but small. They only had those available at the time, but they also had one and two bedrooms. They talked a lot about the outings that they take their vans to. They had a lot of field trips. They also had different classes available in-house. So, if people want to take an art class, they could."

"My mom moved into Brookdale Everett. They're the most caring and kind I've ever seen in the ones I've looked out for. The staff is excellent. They're long-term. One has been here 23 years, and one has been 20. They have excellent meals. The facility is extremely well taken care of, and they are fairly priced."

"I have a very good rating for Grandview Village. Everything that I've seen was a 5-star. Everything they did for me was a 5-star. I've just seen the first part of it and when I drove into the parking lot, everything was very well maintained, very clean, and organized. The staff was very informative, gave me all kinds of leads or which step to take next and a list of places to go, and a book of all the facilities in the area and the reviews on them, so that was extremely helpful. They just wouldn't accommodate my mom because it wasn't a memory care facility. If a person has dementia and they wanted to leave, they could, because their doors are not locked. I've seen the cafeteria and a room where they go for gaming and entertainment."
