My friend has lived at Brookdale for the past few years. She has a lovely studio apartment, and the Brookdale facility itself has very attractive grounds. While no place is perfect, what endears me to Brookdale is that every time that my friend or I have experienced a concern, there is always someone to speak with about it and find resolution for it. Also, the staff is caring and compassionate. Many times people have gone out of their way to make my friend's life a little brighter. For example, I have seen several CNAs return to my friend's room just before leaving to go home after work and offer a hello and a smile. Those little things can mean a lot, especially when mobility is limited. It's appreciated!

Brookdale Montclair Poulsbo was nice and clean. There were not very many people wandering around. The one thing that we didn't like was that it was so big but I never saw patients or anybody wandering. It was empty. And so I was curious why everything was empty. And the rooms looked nice, kind of large. They were very, very pricey. The one thing I liked is they were able to do VA spouse benefits because not every place does. So that was a nice thing that they would do. And because my mom's memory care was getting bad, it was very, very pricey. We only talked to one person and she seemed nice.

Brookdale Montclair Poulsbo was wonderful. I liked it. I liked everything about it, but the area that my husband was going to be in kind of made me sad. It was kind of depressing and I didn't feel that at the other places, but it might have just been the day I was there. The lady who gave the tour of the memory care was wonderful. They had a lot of good activities and things going on even while I was there and they have a nice walkway. They have a beautiful living room area and games and things. I thought it was very nice.

What I liked best about Brookdale Montclair Poulsbo was the view from the windows of the residents. Other than that, we didn't like anything else. Just walking through the door, we did not have a good feeling about it. We went to the memory care and we didn't like how it appeared and how the residents were being taken care of. It was sad. We wanted to leave. We felt like the manager was a car salesman to us. It was just a bad experience. In the other places we toured, you could see the people that work there interacting with the residents. In Brookdale Montclair Poulsbo, we didn't see that at all. The person that talked to us first tried very hard. I give him a 5 rating, but the second one, the boss of them, I would give him a 1. Also, the facility looked dirty and not well-kept.

Our tour at Brookdale Montclair Poulsbo was fine. The staff that took us around was a nice man. We were there twice. He showed us two-bedroom units because we said that's what we wanted, but there wasn't much living space. There were two bedrooms and two small kitchens, but I couldn't figure out how you would have three chairs in one place. We came close to signing there because there was no availability in the other facility we were looking at, and we thought we were getting to the place where we needed it. My husband liked the place. I know single people who have lived there who have been very happy with it and some who have not been so happy with it. When we visited them, they had a very good view of the Olympic Mountains and the water. They also have a library, a beauty salon, and an apartment that opens to the outside with little patios.

Our tour of Montclair was very informative. It was a very well-maintained facility. Liv, the lady that gave us the tour, was very professional. There was a big dining room. It was a very nice place, and their facilities were wonderful. We were impressed with it.

We toured Montclair. The rooms were probably a bit better. We like probably the rooms a bit better there. They didn't give us a menu of the activities they did, so we didn't know much about them. They gave us some information to take away, but they didn't go over it. They didn't show us their activity room. We passed by it. We ended up there because we went the wrong way in the elevator. They gave us lunch, which was nice. The lunch was fine. It was nice that they catered to us and gave us a private room. My dad thought the food was OK, he didn't think it was great, but he thought it was alright. The service was good. We didn't see any activities. The reason that we saw the activity room we passed by was because we got on the wrong floor. The staff who assisted us was fine. They showed us around. My dad at some point got tired of walking and so they went and got him a wheelchair. I like the rooms slightly better in Montclair, but I like the facilities slightly better in the other facility. They could improve their food. Also when they show people around, they need to introduce their activities and such because they didn't do that. That would be nice to know. Because when people are moving there, they'd like to know what they can do.

We found Brookdale Montclair for my mother. They're fantastic, everybody knows who she is, and she's well taken care of. It's four minutes from my house, and it's very convenient. She has no complaints, and she's happy. They have interesting things every day, but Mom doesn't participate.

Brookdale Montclair Poulsbo was an absolutely beautiful and wonderful facility. I enjoyed talking with the person who showed us around, and I talked to some of the residents. We were highly impressed. We saw several rooms of different sizes. I toured the common area, a work group area, arts and crafts, and the cafe. They had several floors. The staff was very knowledgeable and informative. You can order from a menu, you can have what is offered on their table, or you can order from your room. It's big and had a large age group and thus a different degree of activities or liveliness about it.

Brookdale Senior Living is reasonable and very close to our house. It’s a nice facility, and the staff was pleasant. The rooms and apartments are clean. My mom thinks the food is great. They play bridge and puzzles, they have exercise classes, and they go on tours.

I visited Brookdale Montclair. They seemed to be pretty good, and it seemed to be a very nice place. The rooms seemed decent. They had individual bathrooms in each room. Their price seemed to be fairly reasonable at $5,500 for the memory unit. Now, the thing of it was that you had to keep in mind that $5,500 could be more. If you had somebody that needed a lot more care, then the $5,500 would be higher, or if they needed a little bit less care, it might be a little bit lower. So, it kind of depended upon the person. There was a fee for staying at the place and the meals. Then, there was a separate fee that was calculated based on the person's need or help and assistance, which was added into that.

I saw Emeritus at Montclair. It had beautiful views and a lovely setting. The staff was very pleasant. I had a brief, but pleasant and very satisfactory visit. They had rooms from 1 star to 5 stars. I understood the food was very good. The residents there were involved in field trips like downtown shopping. A couple of groups were doing crafts, and another group was going outside on a little walk about. However, I thought they might want to upgrade their nursing staff to meet all the state requirements.

The staffs working at Emeritus at Montclair Park were just fine. I thought they were quite pleasant and delightful. The rooms were quite nice and upscale, but it was a little bit pricey for me. It is probably reasonable for some people, but it is more than I would care to spend. I am more of a homey type of person and found it to be a little too formal. I was invited to breakfast, but I had to back off. The dining room setup was fine and quite nice. But if I was going to live in a place like that, I want something a little homey. They were very pleasant to talk to and punctual, but it just seemed a bit much for me.

I really liked Montclair, but they were full. The staff was fine and very good. Their rooms were fine, and I liked the fact that they opened out into a common room so people could really interact a lot more and not feel so isolated.

My wonderful grandmother came to be a resident in late August, 2014. I have come to visit for a week - two times - and am so impressed by the caring, attentive staff. My father-in-law is in an assisted living facility near us on the East Coast - and this facility wins - hands down. The food is superior, the daily activities are varied and well thought out. The care - is incredible. I love how they care for my Grandma - it is personal, warm and caring. I look forward to visiting again soon - not just my Grandma, but the staff, too. Her care here is personal and they treat her with dignity and kindness. If you are looking at Emeritus at Montclair - you have found a residential home that majors in excellence - from laundry and housekeeping to residential assistants and nursing staff - the front desk welcoming staff to the food service. I highly recommend this facility for your consideration!

I chose Emeritus at Montclair Park for the convenience. The staff is fantastic. There is every activity I can think of that you can name. The food is very good. To summarize, I chose it because of the convenience, the activities, and the people. I highly recommend this facility to others.

During our tour at Emeritus at Montclair Park, they were great. They were very informative, nice, and understanding. They just didn’t have the level of nursing care that my mother needed. The rooms were good. I didn’t eat any of their food, but it looked fine. They had a couple of activities going on while we were there, and there were a lot of people participating, so I assume that they were enjoying them. They had lots of activities daily and throughout the day.

Emeritus at Montclair Park is a beautiful place. They have a very attractive building and grounds. During my visit, everybody seemed to be in their own little rooms, although they did inform me that they have activities there. Should you live in this facility, you don't have to cook or clean your own room. They do all of that for you but they charge plenty of money to do it.

I recently toured Emeritus for my own education. They seemed to be an excellent facility. They just didn't meet the needs that I was looking for. It was alarming that the 2 bedroom apartments I looked into did not fit the king-size bed that my parents share.

Everyone seemed pretty nice there, and I felt that the woman I was going to see was being treated properly. I always had negative feelings for retirement homes. It seemed that they were places for people to simply rot away. It appeared to me that this wasn't the case. She seemed quite happy when I saw here, maybe simply because she had a visitor that she had not seen in a while, but it didn't seem that the retirement home was keeping her down. There was a nice about of activities that people could do around the area, for the elderly that is. Nice about of bus's that stop in the area for the many older residents that cannot drive. One negative aspect was that the place felt like death. Some of the people there seemed that they should be in a hospital rather than a retirement home. For some people these places are a place for them to rest and slowly die, and I don't think that will help anyone.

I chose Montclair Park for my mother who had quit preparing meals for herself and had lost a lot of weight. The staff is very, very friendly and even though my Mom has only been there a short while, she is quickly getting adjusted to a new environment. The dining room has a beautiful view of the mountains and the food is very good! Some apartments have views of the mountains - others have views of the beautifully landscaped grounds. The price is reasonable compared to some other places I looked at. The assistance cost is tiered - the more services required, the higher the cost. What I like is that the tiers incorporate almost all the things that may eventually be needed by my Mom.
