rooms are fine but all equipment is outdated like they bought it a a closing sale. They seem to be severely understaffed and dump patients in the dining hall with nothing to do for hours and hours with 1 or very few watching the patients. There is a TV that is very low and not placed where patients can see or hear it. There is always a question of how long they have been stuck there. Food and patients eating, or their comfort is not a top priority from all I have seen. Even the aides seem desperate at times to find someone to help them.

My friend was at Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center. The setting was nice, and the set-up was nice. They had nice wide spaces. However, it felt more like a hospital there than a rehab facility. The people were very pleasant and very nice. They were very helpful and very attentive to my friend while he was there. They helped him get back on his feet. They did a good job of getting him rehabbed. With regards to food, some things my friend liked a lot, and some things he didn't. It was hit or miss.

Potomac Falls Health and Rehab Center has provided my wife excellent care and support. The health care staff ( RNs, LPNs, CNAs, wound nurses, etc.) are very caring and competent and do a very good job of providing what is needed ( meds, clothing changes, etc.). Even have a foot care person who visits to do toe nail trimming and care. The business front office staff and reception staff is also very caring, accommodating and helpful. The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy staff is without a doubt the best ever. All are extremely well trained and knowledgeable in their profession. They have done wonders in getting my wife rehabilitated and are always showing how much they care. They are great at motivating and cheering on my wife to achieve rehab goals and utilize the myriad of equipment within the therapy gym effectively and efficiently. I have never seen such a motivated staff and they truly love their jobs and the patient always feels they are the most important person in the room. I can't say enough how much I appreciate what the PT and OT therapy staff has done in helping my wife rehab. My wife will be leaving to go home within days of this review which was only made possible by the efforts and support provided by this extraordinary therapy staff.

My mom was only there 4 hours and she had no oxygen when I arrived and was foaming at the mouth. They didn't check on her or her oxygen. Only a CNA and 1 nurse. They told her to pooped in her diaper and call them when she's done. I am disgusted. She could have died. Update.. my mom passed away after just 3 days at Potomac Falls Health and Rehab. The staff did not care for my mother well at all. I believe they shortened my moms life.

This facility is not for people with serious medical problems. My wife has diabetes and high blood pressure along with AFIB and stage IV kidney disease. The medical staff did not treat her competently and consequently she had extremely high blood pressure and blood sugar during her short stay. The nursing staff either did not relay these high readings to the doctor or the doctor did not choose to intervene. As a consequence we asked for her discharge after two days. This facility may be acceptable for someone in relatively good health, perhaps in their 40s, after a knee replacement or hip replacement but anyone with more serious issues should not stay here. Some of the staff were kind and helpful but the majority were not. A very high percentage of the staff speak English with an exceptionally heavy accent and speak too rapidly. They have not been trained to deal with people who may have hearing problems or trouble understanding what ’s being said. As a result, communication is very poor and that of course affects patient care. All patients should always be treated with dignity and respect. The physical therapist and occupational therapist seem very nice but because my wife was not given proper medical care and support she was unable to benefit from their services. Food was mediocre at best. Little assistance at meal time was available. Often, using the call button did not result in timely assistance. For example, in one instance, my wife waited 1.5 hours for helping getting to the bathroom. I do not recommend Potomac Falls.

If you care about your loved one, DO NOT send them here, but if you have no other choice, be prepared to be worried, furious and frustrated. It was impossible to get communication with the staff and when you do, they are the most un empathetic and rude. After numerous phone calls and attempts to visit my MIL an appointment was made for two weeks later, once I arrived they told me I was not on the schedule. I got a phone call at 10am from a staff member and they told me she wasn't doing well and was on the floor. five minutes later, someone else called me and said she is doing well. A formal complaint has been made with the Department of Aging

My parents are in Potomac Falls Health and Rehab Center. My mom moved in October, and my dad has been there since the end of July. It was recommended by the hospital when dad was released, and it was the only place that actually had long-term beds at that time. We've been having outdoor visits because nobody's allowed inside since COVID. It's been good so far. It's all good. Everybody is really nice there. My mom is not so crazy about the food there, but my dad says it's fine, so I think it's been OK. It's almost a brand new facility. It was only built a few years ago, and it's very nice inside. I've only been able to go to the lobby, but it's a very nice facility. It's clean, and it's very well decorated. I liked the convenience of it. It's not far from my house. The people there are very nice, and my parents are both in the same place, which makes it nice. They have physical therapy and occupational therapy, but it's done in their room. They can't meet in a group environment. They just got their COVID vaccine shots last week, and they will get the next shot on the 18th. My dad will get his shot in February. Medicaid pays for their room and board.

very little attention to patient. when help is needed to change they say ok but do not show up, shift changes then has to request again while her skin develops fire red rash and burns and they say they have nothing to put on it. they do not have the right size depends nor will they order the correct size. the food is not diabetic friendly and the food was too salty causing edema. her health is digressing under their care.

My wife is unhappy there at Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center. The food is bland. It doesn't have any salt and pepper and things that make food taste good. They're operating under their own COVID-19 restrictions. She can't use the gym. The only people that go in there are those that use a stationary bicycle or a treadmill. They don't do group therapy. Any therapy she gets is in her room and that limits things. Her room is austere. It's got a hospital bed, a wheelchair, a recliner chair, and facilities to put her clothing. I can't go in there, so I can't tidy things up and check on her other than through the window. It's a struggle getting information about her. There's no 2-way information feed. If I want to know about her, I got to call them. She doesn't have much to say other than she's not happy there. There's lack of communication.

I visited this facility

The facility was clean and nice. The staff was attentive and willing to help/show me around. The rehab department was great! I definitely recommend this place.
