I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful facility for my father. The facility is lovely and very well run. It is clean and well designed. I can't say enough about the staff. The genuine affection they have for the residents is priceless. I would highly recommend Legacy Ridge to anyone with a loved one that needs a memory care facility.

My mom has been a resident at Legacy Ridge for about 18 months after being moved out of a memory care residence in Loudoun due to unsatisfactory care. I am very happy with the care and the program at LR. The staff cares about my mom and the accommodations are very nice. The residences spend little time in their rooms as activities are going on throughout the day. The residents' rooms are lovely and the residence is immaculate. I visit frequently at all hours of the day and evening. I am very aware of what is going on and am comfortable with the care my mom is getting. If I have ANY concerns, the staff is very accommodating and always willing to discuss new approaches or put new plans in place. My mom goes out to lunch almost every week, to the bakery, or on beautiful drives. Last week the residents went to a tulip farm to pick tulips. The activities coordinator is fully invested in bringing joy to the residents in the form of frequent celebrations and events and often the families are invited. Veterans are celebrated as well as all of the holidays with over the top luncheons. Occasions such as March Madness, the Olympics, and Chili Fest are more reasons for celebrating. Take a look at their Facebook for a glimpse of some exciting happenings at my mom's residence.

Legacy Ridge was nice, but for the value, it's not as good as the place we chose for my husband. The resident rooms at Legacy Ridge were smaller, otherwise, it was a very nice place. Everyone there was very pleasant, the residents there also seemed very happy and everything was very clean. The staff that gave the tour was very nice. She was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. She showed me some of the resident rooms and things, it was a nice tour. They have two courtyards, they have a garden and they do gardening, there were tables and chairs and things outside. The residents are pretty much free to go in and out as they want when the weather's nice. They have flowers planted and some of the residents go out and do gardening, weeding and take care of their vegetable gardens.

I had my mother at Legacy Ridge for a couple of months, but I was not happy with her there as was with her care. I was fearful for her. It's not all bad, the upsides are that they have a chef and their food was excellent and their events, which involved the community or families are very well done. It would be a good fit for somebody who is still physically high-functioning, but my mother was not. So the combination and the facility did not work. Their facility was having a lot of problems, they had terrible flood damage there all winter. They've got problems with their building.

We toured Legacy Ridge, and we were going to use them; but as I said, I do not recommend them to anybody. The facility was very nice, but the people there are not. They were very nice, very fake nice. They went to evaluate on my mom, she has a little bit of aggressiveness, and she urinates everywhere. They had said that she was doing bowel movements, which was not true. I talked to the nurse at her former facility, and she said that's not what she has ever seen. They also had lied and said that my mother had pink eye, and the nurse at her former facility said she did not and does not have pink eye. The staff was very friendly when they wanted us, and then they weren't. So, I would rate them as one. What they told me that they do is take them out. The facility was beautiful, it's brand new. But I can't rate it anything above a three with them, because I don't know how false they were. As you can tell, I got some animosity towards them. That was the place that we were going to move her to, and then they falsified it; because I feel like they just want the easy patients there. After all, they're brand new. They're just looking for the easy patients there, and my mom would not have been an easy patient.

We toured Legacy Ridge, and I think they were really nice. It was a brand-new facility, and everything was really nice. The staff were all really nice and knowledgeable. I saw the menu and they offer options for meals. There was a fourth option that is like every day. Even if the person does not like what today's special meal is that is fine, there's a list of other things you could go with. There were two wings. They're all rectangle, so people can't get lost with rooms all around. There were activity areas all around too. Each one has a center courtyard that is open for people to walk around and be outside without worrying they'll wander off somewhere. It was super clean, and it looked like there were no maintenance issues. Normally you see some issue, but there are none there. There's a side where there are people in right now, and there's a side that they have not opened yet. Both sides were both identical. The rooms were nice. It does not have the feel of like being at a home. If grandma lives there and I could, I would move there.
