My mother is in Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She wasn't able to do assisted living, so we have her in a skilled nursing facility now. It's very, very clean, and it's very, very restricted as to the movement in and out of it because of COVID. Care and services so far have been pretty good. I'm very satisfied with the facility and the administration.

My mother was a resident at Trisun Care Center for approximately 6 months. The staff was unresponsive on issue and the care seemed inadequate. Almost every time I went down the hallways it smelled of urine. One time I found an employee using the nebulizer hospice had provided but they thought it was ok since she used her own tubing. There were a few mishaps while there. A few times I found her naked in bed next to the AC unit. They would say she would take off her pants but there would be no pants laying around her. The last incident was when she had a huge hematoma on her forward with serious bruising all over her face and down her neck. They didn't file an incident report with the state until they knew I filed a complaint. Unfortunately our laws allow them to file it days after it happens as long as it is done before the investigator shows up. Don't be fooled by appearances. I would not recommend this place.

My father spent two weeks there b4 he passed away, they took excellent care of my father while he was there, the staff was friendly, they kept him changed, the place smelled nice you can always tell if they change them regularly at nursing homes by the smell. The laundry service did their best to clean and keep from losing his clothes, unlike another nursing home we were at that constantly kept losing his clothes. He loved the dining room he actually thought he was at a restaurant and wanted to leave a tip. During his night of passing they let him have his own room and we were able to stay as long as we wanted to say good bye for that we were thankful. We had paid for his whole month there but they quickly refunded us the two weeks knowing we had funeral arrangements to do and needed the money. Thank you!

Lakeside Care Center was clean, but it seemed like they didn’t have enough workers there and my friend didn’t like it. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The food was bland-looking, but the dining room was OK.

In the beginning, my mother’s stay at Trisun was fine, but she has had chronic UTIs and is getting more a little bit combative; they just started sedating her. Because she has moderate dementia plus Alzheimer’s and every time she gets UTI, it gets the dementia that much worse, and they didn’t know how to deal with her. Finally on Thanksgiving, they put her in the hospital, and we were so upset with these people. They were just horrible at the end. I mean I would come in, and staff people would say "Oh, your mother did this, your mother did that." It was embarrassing to me, and it would anger me for my mom. The place is like two to three years old. Anybody that has cognitive issues shouldn't be in the nursing home.
