I looked at Wisteria Place Retirement Living and I was very impressed with the overall feel of the facility. It is an older place, but it's very nice and felt very welcoming. The staff there appears to be terrific, and I'm excited about possibly using that facility. They have a calendar of activities, they had bingo, arts and crafts, workout sessions, card games, and Bible study. There's something every day on the schedule. The staff members seemed very relaxed and intently going about their business, doing what they needed to do. It's an older facility but they're doing upgrades on the flooring and improving it.

Wisteria Place was very nice and it was smaller in scale than the others we saw so I like that. I also like that they have fewer residents. However, had my relative gone there and needed skilled care, she would have had to move and I didn't like that. I didn't want her to move when she's already used to the place. They provide meals and activities. They also take the residents shopping and to doctor's appointments.

I was very impressed with Wisteria Place. We like the director. He's very nice, pleasant, gave us answers to questions and he's very knowledgeable. The grounds are very clean and I'm very impressed. It's kind of in the middle of town, a little to the south, but they have buses that take them to the doctors and to go shopping. The base price pays for electric, water, and cable. They have independent thermostats to control the temperature in the room. They have housekeeping that comes in once a week, and a full time activities director, who is there Monday through Friday. The place is very clean, nice, and has an elevator. They also have cottages.
