"We visited Lyndale San Angelo, and I was impressed with it. We went to see what they had, like the rooms and their size, and the activities they offer. I also want to get a feel of the building and the things that you could enjoy. I was impressed with the design of the rooms. We also had a meal there that was very good. It was presented nicely, and everything tasted good. I like the fact that it was served at the table, and I think you have a choice of entrees. The person who was helping me was fantastic. She was very patient and very helpful. She went way out of her way to make us comfortable and stay in touch. The place was very clean. It was lunchtime, and most people had already had lunch and left when we had our lunch, but the people were friendly. It's San Angelo, so everyone's friendly. They have a brochure that you can pick up at the office, and that's what I went there for. They showed us the place and talked to us while we were there. The amenities are like those of any independent living. They have a bus that will take you to Wal-Mart and places that you need to go if you don't have a car. They also have someone at the concierge. They have activities to keep people busy doing things they enjoy doing. They have entertainment, too. It's one of the top-of-the-line retirement homes. They also have assisted living, so you have a choice."

"We're in Rio Concho Manor. It's a high rise, and we're in a one-bedroom apartment. We've been here for almost eight years now. It's very good considering that the apartments that we're in are not as up-to-date as the ones at the other place, but they're nice. We have a nice manager. The staff is great. It's not a bad place to be. The food is good. They have a nice dining area. I do a lot of ministry here (about four services a week). They have activities and things based on the age of the people. They take them on trips and exercises in the rec room downstairs almost every day. It's a very nice place to live. They keep it up very well. It's an older building, and it's been around a long time. They keep it up very well. They have a very good activities director."

"In Baptist Retirement Community, they have several levels of caregiving. My grandma needs more than just assistance, kind of like a nursing home. The staff is very friendly aside from one or two that we don't really like. Overall, it's great. I think the room is fine; it's clean and is a good size. She doesn't complain, but she hates the food. She doesn't like the taste. When it comes to her room, it's cold. "
