We liked that Southern Oaks was a small venue in our hometown. The staff was friendly. My mother has picked a suite, so she will have a seating area, which makes it more than adequate. It is in good shape as they repaint between residents. They're willing to accommodate my mother's dietary needs. The dining area was comfortable and open.

Overall, I am very impressed with the facility. It is very spacious, and it is decorated in a very homelike fashion. It is very warm and inviting to be in. The resident's rooms are spacious, and you are able to bring in additional furniture, tv, lamps, and other personal decor. The staff is very attentive to the residents and their needs. They are always talking with them, and the residents are able to help out with common very day tasks. One of these is helping set the tables for meals. I have been very impressed with what I have seen on my visits. This is truly a home away from home for seniors needing additional assistance with daily living.
