My mother was a resident of Charter Senior Living of Jackson. She lived there for seven years, and we had a successful experience with them. They did as good a job as they could with what they had to work with regards to the food they served. Their activities kept my mom busy like bingo and crafts. The rent increased a lot during the time my mom was there. But everything else did do. I checked all the other places and found it was reasonably priced. I thought they did as good a job as they could.

My mother-in-law had already been in Charter Senior Living of Jackson before, so we knew what it was like, and the people took a lot of good care of her. After the hospital, she was supposed to have gone back there, but from some kind of glitch, she did not. So we had to find another place up there and it was double the price, so there was no way we could afford that. We were looking up there as well as places here in Florida (and we bring her to Florida), but Charter Senior Living of Jackson was an excellent place where we had her in the first place, so we moved her back there. The staff is very good. She eats and eats and eats the food. So, it must be pretty good. The thing that we liked the most was that it is this very small facility. So, there's a lot of individual attention. It's always very clean and everyone is friendly. The memory care is a closed-off area, but they have a beautiful garden outside that's private and they have their own dining room in memory care. The rooms are all very nice and a good size. Not too small.

The staff at Charter Senior Living of Jackson was very welcoming, very personable, and thorough. Peggy was delightful and I followed up with her on the phone after that. We had a tour of the facility and available units. The one-bedroom deluxe would be better for us. They had an alcove, which was a little smaller. I've got a list of all the prices and things that they gave me, which were helpful. It was probably our favorite as far as the facility was concerned and the availability. It was clean as a whistle, and it smelled fine. We watched some activities. Some people were doing some exercises. The attitude and friendliness of the staff were great. It was early January, so we didn't do a whole lot outside. From what we could see, it looked fine. We didn't have a meal there, but we were able to gather information about it. Every resident was wearing a pendant for emergency cases, so it was safe and sound. The area was taken care of. They manage medications if necessary. The last thing on my note is "to trust your instincts." Can you imagine you or your loved one living there and being comfortable? Did you feel at ease while visiting, and was the staff friendly and inviting? I said yes to all of that. It was a highlight for us. We liked that one very much.

My mother moved in, and so far, our experience has been pretty good. The staff seems competent and caring, and the rooms are nice. You have a choice of what size room you like, from a studio to several bedrooms. They also provide housekeeping and their food is really good. It's clean, there are no odors, and I have seen people sitting on the porch or watching TV. They have activities for the residents and they have a beauty shop. I still haven't seen any planned activities, but they have entertainment there. I haven't tried the food, but I was there when my mother was eating, and the food looked like something I would eat. The dining area is open with small tables that can seat four.

It was very nice, but it offered more than what my mother needed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were topnotch, very beautiful, and it was more like a retirement facility than a nursing home. The rooms were very spacious. The residents were happy and well entertained, and they had a lot of activities on site. Opportunities for exercise and leisure activities were high in their priority list. I would live there.

It was very nice and not too elaborate. The rooms were big. It wasn't too large and had some amenities but not that many. It seemed to be nice.

this facility is way above average. the food IS good, the resident calls ARE responded to promptly, and there are many activities that residents can choose whether or not to participate in. the staff is fair and does not show favoritism to residents..and they certainly have been known to maintain their professionalism when demanding family members show their colors.. the nursing staff is unparalleled and the building is one of the cleanest I've ever seen. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my mother's care.
