We were nervous that dad would have trouble moving from his home of 56 years into a nursing home, but that staff and fellow residents welcomed him with open arms and he loves his new friends and the wonderful care givers. Food is very good with a wide variety of choices. The building itself reminds you of walking into a resort. A large courtyard allows residents to enjoy watching birds, squirrels and bunnies. Daily activities (bingo, balloon bop, cornhole, movies, exercises, trips to local restaurants, shopping, even fishing at Possum Lake) keep the residents engaged.

I cannot say enough positive things about the nursing facility. The nurses and care givers treat the residents as if they are family. My dad hasn’t been this happy in years. He is more active than he ever was at home alone. He was always social but withdrew when he had his own apartment after my mom died BUT now he is always out visiting having coffee with friends. He goes to exercise class and a bible study. And the office staff are beyond friendly. Courtney in admissions was extremely helpful getting all the paperwork together over a holiday and Carrie in Social Services listened to the staff and suggested a room change. I love that a doctor is there almost daily. Best place ever!

My mom was at Sarah A Todd Memorial Home for twelve days before she passed away. We picked this one because it's just right near my home. They were absolutely great. All the nurses and doctors were wonderful, especially Courtney in the main office, they were all really wonderful to work with. Her room was very neat and clean too. They had gazebos and a nice garden area where you could go and sit. That courtyard was kind of their main area and it's very well done and very spacious. We were not able to actually go physically into the room because she was in isolation. I was just doing window visits. She was on a puree diet and she couldn't have solid foods, so I wasn't able to be familiar with their food. Although we were isolated, all I can say is that the staff was very, very friendly, helpful, and caring.

Both my parents were residents at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home. My father was only there for 6 weeks, but I am so very grateful that he passed away while at Sarah Todd. The care and compassion he received in their Skilled Unit was exceptional. The end of life experience was beyond what our family could've hoped for. My mother passed away last month (July 2020) and was a resident of the Lindsay unit (Alzheimers/ Dementia unit) for 5 1/2 years. The rooms and common areas are very orderly, clean, the clothing is well taken care of and returned on hangers to their closets daily. The meals are excellent, plentiful and well planned, the activities are enjoyable experiences for all. The All the residents are treated with respect and well cared for. I was there several times a week and was always pleased with the level of care and compassion that I saw from the nursing staff to the aides. I noticed that one day my mother had on a brand new pair of fancy slippers. (She loved fancy shoes!) One of the aides that cared for her had bought them for her. Kindnesses like that were unseen where they were before! There would be regular scheduled meetings with the Social Worker, Nurses and Activities Director concerning my parents. The administration is always available and ready to help. I would highly recommend Sarah A. Todd to anyone who is looking for a nursing facility for their loved one.

I liked Sarah A Todd Memorial Home. It's very nice and very clean. The staff was very friendly, and they had a large staff there. The person that I got to tour with was very friendly. The cafeteria was very clean and very nice and was restaurant style setting. They took us through all the areas, what they had, including long-term care, the nursing facility, and the dementia unit. Everything was very well placed. They had a very lovely chapel. They had people come in and entertain and they have bingo and crafts. The food menu looked very good. The facility was very lovely.

My father moved into Sarah A Todd Memorial home. They were recommended by the Office of Aging. They're wonderful, and we have no complaints. The staff is great, has taken the time to get to know him, and worked with us on several issues. They're very interactive with us and friendly. He enjoyed most of the meals. There are choices, and they're very good at finding something he would eat. They just had a big remodel, and everything is nice and clean. The rooms are a little small, and he doesn't need a lot of space, but if you get more than a couple visitors, you need to find an alternate location. They have a couple of lounge areas for that.

Sarah Todd Memorial Home is nice. They have shared rooms or private rooms. For the most part, they're good. The place is pleasant, but they're understaffed a lot because people will call in sick. But they do the best they can. It's one of the better ones in the area. They're in the process of renovating the whole building, but the dining hall is completed. They give the residents a choice of meals. They have their big meal at lunch time, and then sandwich and soup in the evening. I'm usually there at dinnertime when I go. It's a nice place. They have a nice outside sitting area where people can go when it's not too hot. The nurses are also well trained.

My mother had an accident, so she is in Sarah Todd, and I think this is where she is going to be for quite a while. Food-wise, it looks good. My mom doesn’t have much of an appetite. There have chair exercises, Bible study, and movies, and every once in a while they’ll have some group of singers that come. Considering where she is, she is OK; she is settling in.

I’ve been to Todd a lot and this visit was an introduction to my husband and he liked it too. It was close to our house. It was nice and pleasant and at par with the other homes. They have buses to take them to appointments and stuff.
