Assisted Living Communities in Beaver Falls, PA

"My mother-in-law moved into Harmony at Diamond Ridge. Nicole, the one who gave us the tour several times, had the biggest impact on my mother. She was very thorough, showing us the entire facility several times, answering all of the questions, providing and explaining the care my mother would be receiving, which met all of the criteria I needed for her. And so far, so good. They're wonderful, very helpful, get her down to her meals, bring her back, take her to activities, introduce her to other residents, and make her feel comfortable and at home. She loves the food. We can also eat with her if we'd like, and we have several times. The food is wonderful. They have a special every day, but there is also a completely different menu, so if it's something she doesn't like, she can order it from there. It's the cleanest facility I have been in. They have a ton of activities. They have art class, cards, and bingo. They have a coffee chat every morning, where residents can get together. They go down to the bistro and have coffee, get to know the other residents, have a snack or something, and talk, which she did, and she likes that really well. They have a lot of different activities. You get a schedule, and it's the whole day. If you want to be doing something every minute of the day, you can be. They go on outings and take them to restaurants and stores. I chose this facility because it seemed the best fit for her. The size of the facility, the staff, the director, and everyone that we have met. It just seemed like a perfect fit for her. All the facilities that I took her to, her exact words were that they felt like home to her."

"I think the people, the staff and the residents, are the best things about it. They are all very friendly. They seemed to be doing an excellent job. "

"I didn't like the pod room system at Orion Personal Care Residence, but the staff members were really lovely people. We had a good time talking to them. It looked clean enough. The furniture was dingy. They had a lot of nice outdoor areas, but they also had a lot of ramps. I just didn't see my mother-in-law wanting to go up and down ramps too much."

"I toured The Haven at North Hills. The living spaces are sizable. They're enough for one person, for sure. It's limited, I think, to 12 patients, which I like. It's small, and they will feed the patients. It's very clean, that's what I like about it. From observing them, the staff members were attentive to the people and to their needs. There is a sitting area with a TV and sofas, chairs, and one big dining area, which is nice."

"I liked Harmony at Harts Run. It's very nice and very clean. That's really important to me, the cleanliness and just the comfort of the place. The people were very nice and very welcoming. Marissa was very nice. It's a fairly new building."

"Magnolia Place of Saxonburg was very nice and very clean. It was located in a beautiful country setting. It was a very small place and there wasn't a lot of action happening. I wish they would have been bigger. The staff was so nice. I walked past while the residents were all eating, and it looked very nice. The dining room was very open. The bedrooms were just impeccable. They were beautiful and big, and I was very surprised and pleased. There were plenty of different gathering rooms and nice flatscreen televisions."

"The Seasons of Saxonburg is big. It's an old mansion that was well taken care of and kind of pretty. There were some features in it from the old mansion and you can see some of the woodwork and stuff. The rooms were big and nice. The staff was extremely helpful. She went over all the details. She wasn't pushy. She didn't try talking us into anything. She was very clear about the costs. They were not all-inclusive. The dining area was nice. It was an old mansion dining room kind of. The place was clean. The rooms were bigger and bright."

"The rooms that they showed us at Graceful Care Living just had a bed in them, and that's it. We knew immediately when we got there that that wasn't what we were looking for. The staff mentioned that they have another section for people who are more independent. However, it was still somewhat the same concept. Instead of being in a room, like a small, single room, there were two beds. There was no television in those independent rooms. You have to go out of the room to watch television. It was that type of atmosphere, and my mother doesn't want that. She wants something that's like a small apartment, where she can live in that small space and be able to care for herself. I liked the atmosphere. I liked the staff. They're very nice and very accommodating as we went through the tour. My mom asked questions, although she didn't ask very many because she knew, and I could tell just from how she was withdrawn that she was like, "No, this is not going to work for me." I said it to the guy. I said, she's a lot more independent. She can get around fairly well, but this is not for her. She still needs to be in her own place where she can take care of herself. The only thing that she needed was somebody to help her, like to come in and help her to make sure that she's taking her meds. I didn't smell anything. It was very clean."

"Both of my parents resided at Cambridge before the recent passing of my Dad. The entire staff showed such love and compassion to my Mom and our family at the time of our loss. The residents receive wonderful care and this is evident by how much my Mom feels at home at Cambridge. The rooms are very nice with an extra large bathroom, allowing plenty of room for a walker or wheelchair. I’ve been invited to eat and enjoyed the food very much in addition to hearing my Mom speak about the delicious options. There is a calendar with a wide variety of in-house activities and music, and there are also outings that keep the residents happy and active. The personal engagement the aides, nurses, and the entire staff take with each of the residents, goes a long way in making each person feel secure and treasured. The staff is always receptive to any questions we may have and are great at preventative care. Knowing those we love so dearly, are well taken care of, gives us a great piece of mind. "

"Supportive Services based in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania is a great program for people with Mental Health issues. It helped people learn everyday living skills and helped them with forming a plan to one day live again on their own. Supportive Services has many houses all over Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, New Brighton Pennsylvania and Ambridge Pennsylvania. Other than just group homes and assisted living facilities, they also have a personal care home for elderly patients. The staff is full of passionate people who love to help people in need and are very friendly, patient and helpful. "

"The home is not dirty and not depressing try living in the basement like I did at home.staff is nice and they do try to take care of us. Home owners are nice there work is very hard. That is why the staff do not stay long .this is not a bad place like its made out to be "

"I was very impressed with Beaver Meadows. The people were friendly and seemed to care about the residents. They had games and different activities. They also had a little walking trail and they went on trips. We saw the kitchen where they prepared the food and we saw the dining area. It was all clean. "

"My mother stayed at Northview Estates. It's a very good community, but she was a little beyond staying there because her dementia put her over the edge. They have church, crafts, and sing-alongs. The food was excellent. It's a real nice place. They just don't have a bed open in the dementia unit right now, so as soon as they have a bed open, I'm going to move her back there. They took real good care of her."
