"My mom has moved into The Seasons of Saxonburg. It is very nice. It is clean and very professional. They have a beauty salon, they have activities, and there's a courtyard. You can take your loved ones out to the courtyard and share a meal with them. There's also another side patio with a couple of tables and chairs. I've had some interaction with the staff, but not really with a lot of them, just with the coordinator, and she did well. It's very good for the money. They have a flat fee. Even if her care goes up, it's all one fee. They get three meals a day. My mom is in a private room. It's large for a private room."

"Everytime I visit the place is getting nicer and more up to date. The staff are friendly and make him happy living there."

"My mother is in Apple Blossom. We chose it because it was very clean and it's brand new. The staff is great and the food is very good. They have bingo, happy hour, sing-alongs, and cards. It's an outstanding facility. Everything about it is wonderful."

"My mom is at The Haven at North Hills, and she enjoys it. We've had a positive experience, and mom likes the Haven a lot. She said she enjoys the activities and she has made a lot of friends. The staff is very friendly, the room is quite large and very comfortable, and it has its own bathroom. The facility has recently been renovated so it's very clean, and the furniture is all in very good shape. It's a very comfortable accommodation. I have not eaten there but mom says the food is pretty good. There's a common dining area, it's a large room with nice large windows all around it so it brings light from the outside. They have nice-looking facilities. They have daily activities, games, and exercise activities as well. There's a common room on each floor with a TV. It's a high-quality facility, and the people that I've interacted with there have been very nice."

"We enjoyed our tour of Harmony at Harts Run. The staff who gave us the tour was very informative. While we were there, they were getting ready for an Octoberfest celebration where they invited the families to come. So, I thought that was nice. It was a new building, so it was brand spanking new. It was 3 floors, which was fine, but you had to go down for the meals. There were many activities for the residents. One of the dining areas had linen tablecloths which I thought was pretty cool. The other dining room did not have linen tablecloths, but the silverware was wrapped in a cloth napkin."

"My mother-in-law moved into Harmony at Diamond Ridge. Nicole, the one who gave us the tour several times, had the biggest impact on my mother. She was very thorough, showing us the entire facility several times, answering all of the questions, providing and explaining the care my mother would be receiving, which met all of the criteria I needed for her. And so far, so good. They're wonderful, very helpful, get her down to her meals, bring her back, take her to activities, introduce her to other residents, and make her feel comfortable and at home. She loves the food. We can also eat with her if we'd like, and we have several times. The food is wonderful. They have a special every day, but there is also a completely different menu, so if it's something she doesn't like, she can order it from there. It's the cleanest facility I have been in. They have a ton of activities. They have art class, cards, and bingo. They have a coffee chat every morning, where residents can get together. They go down to the bistro and have coffee, get to know the other residents, have a snack or something, and talk, which she did, and she likes that really well. They have a lot of different activities. You get a schedule, and it's the whole day. If you want to be doing something every minute of the day, you can be. They go on outings and take them to restaurants and stores. I chose this facility because it seemed the best fit for her. The size of the facility, the staff, the director, and everyone that we have met. It just seemed like a perfect fit for her. All the facilities that I took her to, her exact words were that they felt like home to her."

"The rooms that they showed us at Graceful Care Living just had a bed in them, and that's it. We knew immediately when we got there that that wasn't what we were looking for. The staff mentioned that they have another section for people who are more independent. However, it was still somewhat the same concept. Instead of being in a room, like a small, single room, there were two beds. There was no television in those independent rooms. You have to go out of the room to watch television. It was that type of atmosphere, and my mother doesn't want that. She wants something that's like a small apartment, where she can live in that small space and be able to care for herself. I liked the atmosphere. I liked the staff. They're very nice and very accommodating as we went through the tour. My mom asked questions, although she didn't ask very many because she knew, and I could tell just from how she was withdrawn that she was like, "No, this is not going to work for me." I said it to the guy. I said, she's a lot more independent. She can get around fairly well, but this is not for her. She still needs to be in her own place where she can take care of herself. The only thing that she needed was somebody to help her, like to come in and help her to make sure that she's taking her meds. I didn't smell anything. It was very clean."

"Wickshire SL Poland was a very nice place. Everybody was very friendly, they even had a sign welcoming me when I came in. They provided lunch for me and I got a full tour of the facility. The apartment wasn't so spacious for what my father's needs were, he was bringing a king-size bed and it would have been very tight in those rooms. They had a library, game room, and physical visit, and they were playing games in the main room. When I came in, they were playing Wheel of Fortune with some of the people. They have popcorn any time and coffee, right in the opening of the building. They have one section where you can bring your dog, and I like that section. It was very friendly, the doors are open, and the dogs are walking through the hall. I thought that would be soothing to a lot of the people that miss their animals. The food was very good. I had vegetable soup and a cup of coffee immediately walking in the door, and a wonderful piece of apple pie, which I did not expect. They wanted me to taste the food, which was a very good idea."

"I visited for my grandfather. It was very clean and very nice. I did not interact much with the staff, except the salesperson, but he was very helpful and friendly."

"I have nothing but good to say about Passavant Retirement my father has been taken care of very well. He has his own apartment but has 24/7 days a week care. They have contacted me when they think their is an issue and we worked through those. My father's apartment is really nice and just enough for him. He loves to play Bingo but trying to get him into an adult day program on the campus where I think getting him out more is good. They have a full dining hall where he lives but he is able to use anything on the grounds like gym, swimming pool they have shops at the Main building and a restaurant he can go and eat. I really am pleased. Oh and if you are a resident you get first crack at the rehab for skilled nursing which is amazing nothing like what you would think of a nursing home it's a suite. "

"It is a single floor facility. Mom has a roommate. It's a lockdown facility. She wears a bracelet and it sets off an alarm if she's near the door. They're very good with occupational and physical therapy, and adjusted her care to her needs. They're helpful with her medications and she's doing really well. They have a lot of activities for them and they have picnics. The employees provide entertainment and they have daily activities that residents participate in and go to."

"My mother required too much care to go to Trinity Oaks Care Center, but it was a very nice facility. The person during the visit was very good, and the place looked great. I saw people in the dining room, and they seemed happy. It's a beautiful place."

"If my parents decide to move up to Sherwood Oaks, it would be the closest for them, location-wise. They had 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms, and some had porches. They had different rooms that seemed really good. A lot of people were playing various cards like Bridge, and everyone was very friendly in that community. They had a dining area and café. The dining area and the food were really good. "
