"My mom moved into Grace Manor at North Park. It's very good and we're very satisfied so far. They have a lot of activities, the place is very clean, the food is good, and the people are very nice. They have singers come in, and they have games and crafts."

"I didn't like the pod room system at Orion Personal Care Residence, but the staff members were really lovely people. We had a good time talking to them. It looked clean enough. The furniture was dingy. They had a lot of nice outdoor areas, but they also had a lot of ramps. I just didn't see my mother-in-law wanting to go up and down ramps too much."

"My mom is at The Haven at North Hills, and she enjoys it. We've had a positive experience, and mom likes the Haven a lot. She said she enjoys the activities and she has made a lot of friends. The staff is very friendly, the room is quite large and very comfortable, and it has its own bathroom. The facility has recently been renovated so it's very clean, and the furniture is all in very good shape. It's a very comfortable accommodation. I have not eaten there but mom says the food is pretty good. There's a common dining area, it's a large room with nice large windows all around it so it brings light from the outside. They have nice-looking facilities. They have daily activities, games, and exercise activities as well. There's a common room on each floor with a TV. It's a high-quality facility, and the people that I've interacted with there have been very nice."

"My mom has moved into Harmony at Harts Run. It's easy to get to and it's close to other family members. It's a new building. It's fresh and easy to get around. So far, the staff members are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Also it seems that they have at least two activities in the morning and three activities in the afternoon/early evening. They have a salon and a small gym, too. The food is excellent. There are lots of choices."

"The rooms that they showed us at Graceful Care Living just had a bed in them, and that's it. We knew immediately when we got there that that wasn't what we were looking for. The staff mentioned that they have another section for people who are more independent. However, it was still somewhat the same concept. Instead of being in a room, like a small, single room, there were two beds. There was no television in those independent rooms. You have to go out of the room to watch television. It was that type of atmosphere, and my mother doesn't want that. She wants something that's like a small apartment, where she can live in that small space and be able to care for herself. I liked the atmosphere. I liked the staff. They're very nice and very accommodating as we went through the tour. My mom asked questions, although she didn't ask very many because she knew, and I could tell just from how she was withdrawn that she was like, "No, this is not going to work for me." I said it to the guy. I said, she's a lot more independent. She can get around fairly well, but this is not for her. She still needs to be in her own place where she can take care of herself. The only thing that she needed was somebody to help her, like to come in and help her to make sure that she's taking her meds. I didn't smell anything. It was very clean."

"They exceed our expectations! 3-11 shift was the best! The staff couldn't have been kinder to our mother. "

"I toured the Celebration Villa of Lakemont Farms. It was very clean, and I liked the outside area. They had several areas where they could go outside. The staff was very friendly and nice. It's very nice inside, tidy, and well-kept. They had an outdoor space, and that's what I like."

"My mother is in Magnolia Place of Saxonburg. They changed hands recently. It's nice. She started there in assisted living, but her memory started to go. She decided she had to go for a ride, so she took the director's keys and walked out the door. They got her before she went anywhere, and she's been in memory care ever since. The only thing I'm upset with them is it seems that when she was approved for VA benefits and got that checked, they raised her rate per month. We were planning to move her before that, but we're just waiting for Covid to allow us to walk into a nursing home. I don't get there very often because it is a 16-hour drive for me, so I haven't interacted with many, but I would recommend them. It's very clean and up-to-date."

"My mother-in-law moved into The Seasons of Saxonburg. We chose it because the lady that runs it over there is extremely helpful, very nice, and the remodel that's going on over there. The remodel, certainly the manager over there, goes above and beyond as far as making things happen, and the price and the location, a combination of a few things are why we chose it. She hasn't complained about the food. It's an older facility. Inside they've done a fabulous job, it's in the middle of remodelling, but I don't know what it will look like when it's done."

"My husband is here. I was scrambling to find a new place and Whitetail Springs has only been around for about a year. It's a new facility, so they were able to take him. The hospital was kind of like, 'we can't keep him, you gotta get him out of here,' so I was really put on the spot. It's a beautiful facility and has caring staff. They are also very kind, helpful, and particularly accommodating. With the pandemic, I really can't see him, and it's just been incredibly difficult. One of the things that concerns me is the distance from home; I am 45 minutes away from him. I've had some housekeeping issues with him, too. I was able to see him for one hour last week and I wasn't pleased with how clean his room was and some other issues. It is extremely pricey, but I believe he is being well cared for. "

"We did tour The Grand Residence at Upper St Clair, but their cost was too high for us. Because it's a family-owned business, it seemed like everybody worked like a family does. That's what I liked about it. They would bring the residents down every day, and they would stay in like their community room all day long, and they would do activities with them. It just seems more interactive instead of just sitting there. They have a great dining area, and they invite families to come in and eat with their loved ones, like on the weekends. You pay for your own meal, but apparently, what they told us was that it was like gourmet meals there. I met a lot of people there and they all seemed very, very nice. We were only there once, and the room my dad was going to go into was very small. We were concerned about him being forgotten in this little hallway, that he was in a room by himself, because he's wheelchair bound. If somebody doesn't move him somewhere, we were afraid he would be forgotten. The staff was wonderful, very accommodating to us, and very nice. It's a beautiful facility. They did have a beauty parlor. There was an additional charge for that. They had this community area where they had a lot of activities. They had multiple dining areas, like a cafe, and then a big dining room. They have an outside seating area as well and a library up on the second floor that people could go and enjoy."

"My daughter is a resident of Paramount Senior Living-Bethel. She had a bleeding problem, and they took her to the hospital, and they decided that she should go to nursing. She needed a regular nursing place for a while, and then she could go back to Paramount. It's a very clean place and the staff are like family. She said the food was excellent. They saved her life, and what more could you ask for? I think they have a beauty salon. One of the times I was there, I heard music going on in the dining room. They have a nice courtyard."

"It was absolutely fantastic. I was so surprised that it was so nice; everything about it was nice. I was so amazed. And it was so close to our house too. "

"My mom was at Paramount Senior Living at South Hills. Everything was wonderful. It's a brand-new nursing care place. The staff members were very good. My mom enjoyed the food; all of the food was very good. She did bingo and we went to a mass. They had happy hour and social days. The activities were very good."
