Heidi Lane Ashley Manor is a very nice facility that has a homey feel. The layout is good for socialization with other clients and staff. The meals seem to be good as my Mom has been very healthy since residing there, when she had not been as healthy previously at other facilities. I have had some issues with grooming such as teeth, hair and nails, but other cleanliness has been fine. I feel that the grooming has improved since Iris has been designated administrator. She seems to be on top of things, and really seems to care about giving good care.

please, if you care about your family member, find a different place. management and aids are in constant fluctuation. Ownership does not care about their residents. There are no activities. Food is pretty bad, and residents are not usually offered an alternative, when they push their plates away. The constant unstable staffing leads to no confidence in the care.

Family member of current resident. doing reporting. Resident is very compliant and quiet, He says he is always hungry and also says he does not receive enough to eat. He likes to eat and is not fussy about what he eats usually but he has complained about the food at this place. During pandemic 2020 care staff has been seen not wearing PPE as state law requires. Resident asked for assistance to report this fact to state licensing officials who did visitations to check for compliance-- he felt insecure without caregivers wearing masks and gloves while under lockdown. Family assisted in reporting. This particular resident is not very social but if encouraged to be more social, he tries to do better. He reads continually and has few vistors with NO family in the area. As far as family knows there are NO ACTIVIVTiES organized by staff. THis place is all about very strict staff assisting residents as little as possible. Appears not to be a friendly place at all. Room is the only feature of this residence that family can see that is acceptable and even somewhat comfortable. Resident Kurt has adapted as well as he can to this rather cold and very limited place. No amenities. Residents sit all day staring at a wide screen tv with junk TV programs. Resident stas mostly in his room.

Dad was at Ashley Manor for several months, and we didn’t like it. A lot of things happened; he escaped twice from what was supposed to be a lockdown facility. He was just pushing buttons and got out. They didn't have activities going on. I did not like the staff. They would not call the right people. The rooms were clean, and their food seemed to be OK. They made my mother and sister believe that they are a locked down facility, but when I called the University Board, they said they are not. They are locked down but it’s just a residential care facility, not memory care. Their price is very high for what they get.
