It’s sad for the rehab people who worked there because they are top notch. But the nursing people and the aids are horrible. Multiple times I went in there. My dad had soaked through his adult diaper no matter if he turned the light on or not he had dementia and couldn’t get up and go himself. They wouldn’t allow him yet. It even peed through onto the pad on his bed, I saw the therapy people helping him to the bathroom more than the regular staff sadly, unless your loved one has all their faculties it is not the place for you because the rehab care is top-notch and can’t say enough for their therapist!! I also want to mention that because of this lack of care for my father, I truly believe it led to his multiple infections, causing him to lose his second hip replacement and ultimately his life

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Toledo was a fairly new building. However, the alarms were continually going off at the nurses station, which you could hear all the way down the hall where my mom was at. Every resident could hear it, and they were going off all the time. I understand this was in the midst of COVID, but they did not allow any family member to be with my mom during the intake process. It was extremely confusing and upsetting to her. She didn't have any of her own clothing. She was cold. She didn't know what she was doing or where she was going. There were no familiar faces. They wouldn't let any of us in until visiting hours started some 7 hours later. Also, the food was really bad. I was not happy with them. Other than that, the coordinator was excellent, and the nurses were very kind when therapy came in.
