"Community Commons is a nice community, and a very nice facility. The staff who gave the tour was very adequate, very professional, very outgoing, and concerned. They said they would not cater to any kind of special diet, and my mother needs a high fiber diet. "

"Autumn Hills Care Center couldn't have been a better place for my grandmother to recover from her bout of pneumonia last year. She was there for almost two months while she was getting her strength back and besides not feeling well she described it to me as a little vacation. I went there almost everyday and every day that I went there my grandmother was actively doing something to keep her busy and get to know the other people staying there. They had things such as bingo, music, movies, parades, etc. She loved all of the activity and not just having to sit in her room watching TV all day. The staff was also so friendly to both her and me while we were there. They were constantly coming in asking if she was ok, if she needed anything, and changing her linens. It was one of the most kindest and cleanest care facilities I had ever seen. After hearing many horror stories about places like this I was pleasantly surprised by the service that she got for the amount of money we were paying. "

"I visited Grace Woods Senior Living when my family and I were looking for assisted living for an elder family member. We fall in love with the place it was very clean and the staff were all very helpful. The employees answered our questions and let us see the things they do to keep the residents busy such as bingo games. We however; choose to move our elder family member in with another family member but we do highly recommended Grace Woods Senior Living to our friends looking for a place for his or her loved one. I give Grace Woods 5 out 5 stars. "

"Shepherd of the Valley Liberty is aesthetically very nice, and so far the staff has been caring and has been very good. The activities are nice. They have bingo, Jeopardy, and Family Feud nights where they offer drinks. They have different church services and music. They have a nice library. I think they're expensive, especially with skilled nursing, but I'm very happy that my father is there. It's not near hospitals. There's a grocery store nearby and a couple of simple restaurants like Chipotle and McDonald's."

"I had a relative staying there for several months. At first I was quite suspicious of the whole idea of putting my relative into assisted living facility(I had one bad experience long time ago). My first pleasant surprise was overall cleanliness of the facility. Rooms were cleaned daily and there wasn't that unpleasant urine smell I came to expect from my previous experience. Staff was absolutely perfect. Always helpful regardless of what we needed at any point. Several time they organized transportation for her to and from the doctor's appointment when I couldn't make it. They even threw a birthday celebration for her! I guess that is a common occurrence in that facility but it's still very nice. Common room was nice and they had bingo nights, movie nights, karaoke, nights... She had a lot of fun. And Guess what? I didn't feel bad about my decision, she was well taken care of and provided with the best medical care- definitely something I wouldn't be able to provide for her in my house. "

"I will have to admit, when I first visited my grandfather at the facility, I had terrible images running through my head. As I made my to the front door, I was greeted by a smiling face which instantly caused me to lower my guard! My grandfather was not always the easiest person to get along with, but after watching the way the staff catered to his every need, I was more than just taken back! They (the staff and nurses) really seemed to care. They even offered me dinner when I was there! I think another reason O'Brien Healthcare was so nice was due to the amount of windows they had! A lot of daylight could be seen and I think that helps ones mood when it comes to helping the ill. "

"Liberty Arms is a beautiful place. However, they didn't seem to think they can handle my mom's needs. It was kind of they've already made up their mind before they came to see her. And I know they gave her a very good evaluation. The rooms there were kind of odd-shaped with an odd setup. The staff would make sure everybody gets down to the dining room during meal time, and if somebody is missing they'll go look for them. Or if someone would need assistance they'll take them to the dining area. "

"My grandfather is currently in Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge in Mineral Ridge. He's in the nursing home side of it. The initial appearance and the public spaces of the facility are fair in maintenance but the rooms themselves that we have been in have not been maintained to the level of my expectation. There are cleanings and care that could be done to the rooms to improve them. The staff is wonderful and they're doing what they can with the number of staff that they have. Unfortunately, I feel like they're overwhelmed with patients. Maybe the caseload is a little much to be getting the care that the patients truly deserve. He's only been able to get his food in his room since he hasn't been able to get out and socialize. All of the food he's had has been satisfactory. I think improving on cleanliness needs to be their top priority. I know staffing is a huge issue with everybody so more adequate staffing for patient care could be improved too."

"I had a family member in this home. They were miserable, The lady running the house is very unprofessional and downright rude. She speaks to the residents as if they were animals, doesn't feed them well and has no business being a care provider. I feel that my family member was abused and neglected in this home. There have been reports made with the area agency on aging and with the licensing department. Good luck with your search. If you need to see for yourself, make a visit. You will find a smelly unclean house with mean and uncaring workers. "

"We place my mother-in-law in Levy Gardens. It is a beautiful place. In my mother-in-law's particular apartment, there is a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave. There is plenty of room for furniture like her living room where she has a love seat, two tables, a lamp, and a TV. In her bedroom, she had a big walk-in closet, and then down the hall, just a few inches, is her bathroom which has a handicap accessible shower. They have kosher food, and my mother-in-law knows that because she has been in the nursing home before so she is OK with it. In her apartment, she can have whatever she wants. They have activities, like this week they have exercise every day at 11:30. Then they have some lady coming from the library, and they have music tonight. Every Saturday night they have a movie, and I think shopping is tomorrow. They have a variety of things to do. It is a nice place. "

"My mother is in John XXIII Home. The reason we choose it is because we are familiar with it, and we have other family members that have gone there. The staff seems to be very caring and knowledgeable. The facility is very clean. The rooms are very spacious. It is a place that has people that she knows. When I am there, they have like a picnic and they have like hamburgers and hotdogs and stuff, but as far as I know, my mother says the food is very good. I think she is doing more there than she did when she was living by herself. "

"I moved my parent here from another personal care facility in the area, It was a big decision to move my parent here. After having my parent here for 8 months now, I am so glad I have. In the last facility my parent had been admitted to the hospital frequently. At the last facility, I felt like I was always hounding the staff to pay more attention to my parent and it seemed like they were all but ignoring me. My parent's health issues would escalate and my parent would be admitted to the hospital. Here, the aides and nurses are very attentive to her health and she hasn't been in the hospital once. They catch what's changing with her and they get it taken care of quickly, coordinating between her doctors. They've called me many times just to update me what's going on with my parent and what they're doing which is a huge relief off my shoulders. Also, what's nice is they schedule my parent's appointments and if I'm not able to attend, they will drive her there and call me when she gets back to update me what's going on. "

"Omni West was very clean and very spacious. The people were very friendly, and I was really impressed with that. The areas that we saw were lovely. It’s a lovely facility. Everything seemed very nice. My husband said he wouldn’t mind being there. Everybody was very competent, and they knew what we were looking for. "
