"Impressed with the facikities in this senior independent living building/community. The ability for residents to live independently but access services (non-medical) as needed at a reasonable rate is a nice benefit. "

"It's not as fancy as some other facilities that look like a hotel but has a very warm and caring atmosphere. It was situated in a huge wooded area and my Mom loves outdoors. This is one of the things that we like because it would make her really comfortable.They had actually a couple of units available. We were able to tour those. The units were very nice and clean and it's everything that she would need. The setting was very nice with a window and a view of the courtyard and the flowers and trees. It was very nice. The staff were very nice. We were kinda leaning toward this facility because it fits my Mom's personality better. Also, you get to spend less money but you get more than what you will be paying for. This is the one we are leaning toward by the time my Mom is ready to live in an assisted living facility. "

"We were able to tour them and it was very nice. I saw everything about assisted living. I like the cleanliness. The rooms were very nice. The staff was friendly and very nice. They had a salon and an activity room and that kind of stuff. The layout was fine."

"The rooms vary in size. Make sure you see the room or have a relative visit the facility before you commit. Some rooms on the first floor have sliding glass doors to an outside area, which makes the room feel larger and adds light to the room. That’s a room that I have. When I came here, I had a pet dog and it was ideal for us."

"Everything at The Inn at Christine Valley was very nice. We were impressed as soon as we walked in. The people were very nice. They have a private room where you can have conversations with your family or have dinner with them."

"We place my mother-in-law in Levy Gardens. It is a beautiful place. In my mother-in-law's particular apartment, there is a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave. There is plenty of room for furniture like her living room where she has a love seat, two tables, a lamp, and a TV. In her bedroom, she had a big walk-in closet, and then down the hall, just a few inches, is her bathroom which has a handicap accessible shower. They have kosher food, and my mother-in-law knows that because she has been in the nursing home before so she is OK with it. In her apartment, she can have whatever she wants. They have activities, like this week they have exercise every day at 11:30. Then they have some lady coming from the library, and they have music tonight. Every Saturday night they have a movie, and I think shopping is tomorrow. They have a variety of things to do. It is a nice place. "

"My mom was in rehab at Woodlands at Austinwoods Nursing Center. I thought the communication could be better. The remodelled facility was very, very nice. We lost some clothes there and the lady in laundry and head nurse were more than cooperative in trying to find the missing articles of clothing, and that happens in facilities like that. The new rehab unit is beautiful, but we can't use it now because of the COVID. I was only able to look at my mother through a window because they're on lockdown there."

"My mother was at this facility for rehab after her heart attack 2 month ago. She did amazing she was walking and back to herself in know time. The facility was clean , the staff was friendly and the nurses made her and myself feel like family. "

"I've been in Briarfield Manor for two years now, and I’m improved since 2015. The staff members are good, professional people. The therapy staff is outstanding. I would rate them at least 4 and the physical therapy a 5. The nursing staff and the aide staff, all of them are good. I’m a member of the residents council, and they try to keep up with things. Overall, I recommend the place. "

"Liberty Arms is a beautiful place. However, they didn't seem to think they can handle my mom's needs. It was kind of they've already made up their mind before they came to see her. And I know they gave her a very good evaluation. The rooms there were kind of odd-shaped with an odd setup. The staff would make sure everybody gets down to the dining room during meal time, and if somebody is missing they'll go look for them. Or if someone would need assistance they'll take them to the dining area. "

"We got our mother in Victoria House, and we're very pleased with it. They seem to be doing a good job, and she's doing as well as possible. The facility is very nice. She's a wanderer, so she's in the dementia ward. The food is good, and she seems to like it. The dementia ward is excellently laid out. When she comes out of her room, she's inside of a nurses' station and with the staff. It's very open and airy once you come out of your room. They have transportation."

"I toured The Blackburn Home. It's a little dated. It's an older building that was remodeled into being a retirement assisted living type of place. The rooms were small, the quarters were tight. It's just an older, smaller building. They were very attentive to my mom's needs. What she was looking for, and what she felt comfortable with, and that was very helpful in explaining to us what they would be able to assist her with there. So if somebody is looking for a smaller place where it's not as confusing with all the people in bigger areas to move around, it would be a nice place, but it is on the small side."

"My mother is in Humility House, and we are happy. The rooms are beautiful, well-furnished, modern, and clean. My mother cannot attend a lot of activities, but she goes to some mass and music thing. "

"The Inn at Ironwood was a nice place, and the staff was nice. They seemed to have a lot of activities. They had a sitting room, a TV room, and a balcony. My aunt was there and they decorated for Christmas and they did a beautiful job. They had a Halloween thing for them where they all dressed up. They had a courtyard. The residents were nice. They all seemed to interact with each other. You walk into the main doors and you walk right into the main sitting area and it's all wide open. They'll occasionally have somebody come in and play some music and everybody will sit there. It's very clean, and it's newer. You think you're on vacation when you walk in there like you're going into a 5-star motel."
