I am a resident at Omni West and I LOVE IT HERE!! Yes, the rooms are all different sizes and you would have to check it out before you commit to a room. However the staff here is wonderful and care about each and every resident here! From the director, the head nurse, the nurses, aides, cleaners, maintenance, and kitchen staff they all know us by name and care! I would recommend to anyone!! I have a little dog here and he isn't even a problem here. Everyone LOVES him. We are all like family here. The activities are great, they are always coming up with new things. We go shopping and everything. The building is also very very clean. They clean all the time!! They scrub the hall carpets all the time also. Who does that?? Well I would highly recommend Omni West to anyone! It's the best assisted living place I've ever seen and I LOVE IT HERE!!

The rooms vary in size. Make sure you see the room or have a relative visit the facility before you commit. Some rooms on the first floor have sliding glass doors to an outside area, which makes the room feel larger and adds light to the room. That’s a room that I have. When I came here, I had a pet dog and it was ideal for us.

We thought Omni West Assisted Living was very nice. It would have worked out, but it was a little bit too far. We were only there one time, but they were very, very congenial, very welcoming, and very thorough. They didn't put any kind of pressure or anything like that on us. They were very good. The apartments looked very sufficient and nice sized. We liked the enclosed courtyard that they had there. That was a plus because my friend loves to sit outside. We were pleased with it.

We had to move Mom after 5 or 6 weeks because the move to Omni West made her agitated, more confused, and sometimes aggressive. Mom has later stage Alzheimers, but can walk and talk and eat. A nurse set the stage for a bad experience right at the beginning, by not following proper manners/protocol with an Alzheimer's client, and it set the scene for suspicions and mistrust, resulting in my mother almost constantly paranoid and on guard, and even violent. It was a bad experience, and so we moved Mom to a small 5 bed facility, where she has been three weeks now, and the acting-out behaviors and paranoia have stopped. Omni West has some terrific staff. It only take one who is not trained in Memory Care to upset everything. The other clients that we saw during Mom's stay seemed to be higher functioning for the most part, and most seemed content and happy. So not all bad by any means. They do not seem equipped for a "true" Alzheimer patient, which is an odd thing for a memory care place.

Omni West's general appearance seemed older and dated from the outside, but inside, they seemed to have updated it. The director was very good. She was friendly, very nice, and accommodating. She gave us a great tour. It seemed like they cared about the residents. She knew every resident by their first name. The dining area was older, but clean. It wasn't elaborate, however, it was a good size room for the amount of residents that they have. The rooms were on the smaller side. I didn't think they had a lot of activities going on because most of the residents seemed to be in their rooms.

Omni West was very clean and very spacious. The people were very friendly, and I was really impressed with that. The areas that we saw were lovely. It’s a lovely facility. Everything seemed very nice. My husband said he wouldn’t mind being there. Everybody was very competent, and they knew what we were looking for.
