The Atrium at Anna Maria was very friendly. The staff that I evidently took a tour with is one of the directors. We wandered around and he greeted everyone by name. There were several gals who were playing cards, and he knew who they were, and they responded to him. We walked into one room to try to figure out where you would put a bed. It was called a studio room. They also have a rehab unit, which is almost like a separate building. There's exercise equipment and weights. I think they have people coming there for rehab who are not staying at The Atrium at Anna Maria. They come with a relative or whoever just to use the rehab facility. They also do it for the people that are living there. The staff who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and you could tell that he loved his job working for them. However, it's well out of our price range.

I just recently went to Atrium at Anna Maria. As far as appearance, cleanliness, staff, and all those other things, I would say it was good. It was a brand new facility. I thought it was less than six months old. It was state-of-the-art. It was very airy, spacious, and light with lots of modern conveniences. They had everything. It was amazing. The whole atrium thing that was like a 3,000 square foot interior space that had like a solar cover on the top. It was like an outdoors/indoors. There was a therapy pool, live trees, and plants. I was hoping to have my dad see that because his big thing about moving here in Ohio was the winters, but it had a space like that, plus, they also had special walking tracks that was specifically designed for elderly people. It had special cushion that was easy on the joints, and it also had a slip proof surface. I was blown away by that. I had never seen anything liked it anywhere.

The Atrium at Anna Maria is nicely setup. The rooms have a little living room and kitchen; you can have your lunch there. The food was very good. I am sure that they would be very aware of the security.

The Atrium at Anna Maria was in its formative stages and they were still in the process of remodeling. We did not get to see any of the housing area because they had not been finished, other than the memory care facility that had just recently opened. We visited that section with my brother because his wife has Alzheimer's and he was thinking about moving her there. Since they weren't up and running yet, he opted not to follow through with that. They had no rooms to show other than those in the memory care facility, which was limited to one part of the building. What we did see was very nice and we were impressed -- it was good. The people who we saw were knowledgeable and they were friendly. They have a dining room for eating, a theater, a library, a pool, an atrium around the pool, and they were going to add some walking paths there. We did not get to see everything because not all of it was up and running as of April or May when we visited. We drive by it almost every day because we live very close to it and we can see that they are moving along pretty well.
