Nursing Home Communities in Clute, TX

"My dad was a resident of Woodlake Nursing and Rehabilitation. The grounds were well kept. They had a water fountain in the front. The staff did what they had to do. They were nice to us. My mom had dementia. So, she would call up there thousands of times and they were nice about it. My dad didn't do any of those activities because he couldn't walk but they would do physical therapy with him. I don't think they had many activities because I was asking about it for my mom to go in there, and they didn't have anything but bingo or something like that. I never ate the food, but the food was decent. I wasn't upset that they couldn't take him to our doctor's visit on Tuesday and Thursday, which they said they could. The outside was nice, but when you came inside it smelled like a nursing home."

"I toured Creekside Village Healthcare. I like the atmosphere of it. I like that the team seemed to be very aware, alert, and paying attention to everything. I would feel comfortable with my mom being there. The person who took me around was very knowledgeable, had answers to the questions that I had, and took her time to make sure that I know each part of the facility my mom would be having contact with. She just made me feel comfortable. I didn't see any appliances in the rooms. I saw a courtyard and a little seating area. It's a nursing home that specializes in memory care."

"I have a Family member that was there for a short time... our stay was really hard on us but they made it so much better an a lot easier on us an our family.. Thanks for all the great Care.. "

"We had my dad in Country Village Care. He passed away in December 2020. I like the nurses. They were kind to him. I like the way that the facility is organized in pods, where people in one certain area eat together in their little area. They had lots of activities for the seniors. I was not pleased with the rehab portion, though. My dad had dementia. We took him there because he had had sepsis. He was recovering from sepsis, and he was on a high-powered antibiotic that made his dementia worse, but whenever I told people that, they didn't believe me. If he did not improve for the therapists, then they considered him to not be improving. When he went into the facility, though, he was unable to get out of bed at all, unable to use the toilet, and unable to do some things like that. He got to where he could stand, get into the wheelchair, and transfer himself to the toilet, but that didn't count because he didn't do it for them. Medicare was no longer going to pay for him to stay there because this therapy couldn't show him as improving. They told me that, and I wasn't happy about it, but then they expected me to know that that I had to have another place for him or another arrangement made for him the very next day. They did not say that clearly to me, and so I got there the next day and the nurses said, "Well, he's checking out today, isn't he?" So I filed something against that decision and was able to keep him there another day or two while I made other arrangements for him."

"I have a grandparent who is being cared of at Cypress Woods Care Center. Overall, I am very impressed with the level of care and concern they have for their patients. Anytime anything slightly out of the norm occurs, we receive a phone call notification and can come in no matter then hour if we feel our presence will help. Also, this facility is directly across the street from a hospital, so when urgent care is needed it is literally seconds away. Also, the nursing home is just minutes away from several restaurants, so we can take our loved one out the eat anytime we like and they always work with us to coordinate this effort. The facility is also decorating very nicely and looks much more like a home than any other nursing home I have ever seen. The only bad thing I have ever heard about this facility is that they could pay their employees a bit more, but nonetheless the employees seem to all care very highly about the residents. "

"My grandma has been at Laurel Court for 4 months. Admissions was helpful upon admitting, business office was very informative. Nurses and aides seem to really care about the resident's. When my Grandma was in the hospital Amanda came to see us and explained everything very well. Tammy, the Administrator spends allot of time on the floors getting to know us and our loved one's. Love the place! "
