"My dad is in Quantum Rehabilitation and Nursing. They seem very friendly and caring. When I push my dad around the nursing home, everybody knows his name and says hi. They read stories to the patients. They have a movie night, bingo, a big rehab facility downstairs, and an in-house bakery. The patients and their families could go down and get coffee or sugar-free for people with diabetes, and it's all free. I saw the food, and it was very good. They give the meals and choice of a menu. They did a patio party outside for the staff. The facility was clean."

"I visited the nursing home on a daily basis to visit my family member. Although the facility itself is not "eye pleasant" on the outside or inside, it really has a great staff to make up for this fault. When I first went to the nursing home I was not pleased with how everything looked, however the staff assured me that they hired some of the best professionals in the area and were able to take the best of care for my loved one. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. The staff was the most friendly and caring people that I have ever met. They began to know me by name and always greeted me upon my arrival. I could tell that they truly cared for what they were doing and treated my loved one with the greatest of care. "

"I fell in love with Bellhaven Nursing & Rehab Center. I liked how it looked, it was clean, and they had a secure unit for dementia patients. Everything about it was favorable, but at the time they only had one bed available and they denied my mom's application while she was in the hospital. I took a tour with the director of admissions. Their dining area and activities were suitable for what my mother would have needed. The residents were watching a movie when we were there, and they had a board with a list of activities that they do at different hours."

"My Grandfather stayed at Medford Multicare, and the care that was given was second to none. I know that Medford has been in the media and has a cloud over them, but while my grandfather was there, I didn't see or feel any negative issues at all. The staff are friendly, warm understanding and very accommodating. My grandfather went to Medford for Short term rehab and got the proper rehabilitation he needed in order for him to get back to his community. I am so grateful to the team at Medford and I thank you so much for all your help and guidance to make my grandfather come back home safe and happy. The rooms are clean and spacious and beautiful views of trees and gardens, the interactions with staff were very positive and welcoming. The activities director and staff are always inviting and there was always something for my grandfather to be apart of and enjoy. overall a fantastic place for Short term rehab! "

"Brookhaven Health Care Facility is a good facility. I'm connected to the church, and I do visitation for the people. They have a good staff. The facility is well kept. It is a convalescent care and rehab. Actually the reason I know it better than just what I said is that my father passed away in that facility almost 20 years ago. He had dementia. I had talked to the staff because they put up with a lot. Dementia patients can be crude, and they can be difficult and stubborn. It takes a rare breed of person to deal with those people on a daily basis. "

"My mother-in-law is in the rehab part of Allegria Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Port Jefferson. It's clean. She's been there before, and they're very nice. I don't find anything wrong with it. The staff is very nice. She has a full schedule of things to do there. They have bingo almost every day and card games. When we got there, they had her walking. It seems to be an OK place. It's just that it's very far from us. The fellow who was doing the rehab and brought her back to the room was very nice. She said the dinners are good."

"Post pandemic, there is continuous improvement with a robust Resident Council and Administration. If you smoke, this is one of the few facilities currently with a designated smoking room, with direct access to a garden patio. What's not tolerated at Woodhaven? Hate speech and taking advantage of other residents. Check it out with a thorough onsite/virtual tour with an external case manager. I did!"

"Peconic Landing is absolutely the best that I have ever seen. It has everything from independent living, assisted living to nursing care. You can go from one step to the other and you don't have to move anywhere else. You also don't have to pay more because it is one flat rate for everything. Everything is perfect in this facility. It is well-cared for. I'm very excited going there because of the ambience that they have. The staff that works there is very congenial. I had a wonderful meal there. The only problem I have problem with this facility is that it is a little farther out from where I live. "

"Number one on my list is the cleanliness and brightness of this facility. My Mom moved there December 2010, and shares a room with a lovely woman . The wait time after Mom was put on the list, was about 5 months. We were welcome at any time to visit the Hamlet, and speak with the other residents, as we waited. Mom was royally welcomed by some of the ladies she met before she even moved in. The floors are washed and swept frequently, the rooms and baths are cleaned daily. Beds are made, laundry is done, and delicious meals are served 3 times a day. Snacks and beverages are always available. There is a hair salon, and Resident Doctors and Nurses take care of medical issues. Medication is given out individually by the nurses. There are many activities during the day, bus trips, a movie room, and volunteers come in once a week to do manicures for the gals. A certified dog viists every week for the folks to pet and gush over. He is sweet. Musicians, Clergy, are there to speak to the residents and entertain them. The staff is superb, very caring, well trained and polite to everyone. Mom is there with Medicaid, thank goodness. However, many other folks have larger rooms and choose to pay their way. Fees start at 3 to 5 thousand a month. In house Banking is provided, for all. Social workers, Psychologists, Podiatrist, and Physical Therapy is available to all. The admimistration and front desk personnel are always polite and ready to help or answer any questions family may have. I give this facility a High Five. Excellent... "

"My grandpa is currently living in this care center. He is unable to walk at the moment so the people there are helping him daily. The staff is great. They are always watching out for him and providing him with good food. They are always there when my grandpa is in need of help or wants anything. The staff is always friendly. They are also friendly to the visitors. It is a nice place to be at. The atmosphere is calm and nice. There are many things to do for entertainment. My grandpa is happy to be living there. His health greatly improved ever since his stay at the care center. It used to be hard for him to talk and move. Now he is much better at both. The staff at this Suffolk care center are obviously doing their jobs well. Whenever i visit, they would always assist me with any request i made. This care center is amazing for anyone to be at. "

"My mother-in-law is at Water's Edge Rehab and Nursing Center at Port Jefferson. They're wonderful, everybody's friendly, and the facility is immaculate. They just shut down visiting again, but I can't say enough good things about the place. They take care of her so well. She's clean, and even when she's in a wheelchair, they get her out of the bed. I love the place. It's just sometimes when you call, they don't answer the phone right away, so you gotta keep calling back, but it's not a big deal for me. I get that they're short staffed, and they've been wonderful so far. She's actually been happy there, and I've never seen her look so healthy in my life. She says the food is awesome and that they give her so much that she can hardly eat it. I like how they treat the residents too, like nothing is too much for them/for you to ask of them. They're very friendly and they welcome you like a family. They are a little expensive, and we had to self-pay for three months, but it was OK because she had savings, and she's already now under Medicaid."

"Jefferson’s Ferry was very good. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and clean. They have a pool, a laundry shop, a library, movies, bingo, and games. Their continuity of care was what I liked the most. "
