"Westgate Center For Rehabilitation and Alzheimer's Care is amazing. My mom is the third family member they've taken care of with Alzheimer's. They are currently redoing the rooms in her wing where they're going to put up beautiful wallpaper, redoing the ceiling, the lighting, and stuff like that. They have a salon and they do their nails. My mom has gone and played bingo, too. She is in their lockdown Alzheimer's unit and they've got a beautiful area with places you can sit, flowers, and bird baths. It's all enclosed so they can just go out there. Their cleanliness is amazing. The gentleman that cleans down my mother's wing is impressive. It's pricey, but I think all medical care is. Plus, she's safe and someone's caring for her, she's well-dressed and well-fed."

"My 90yo mother was in rehab for 3 weeks. I am so pleased with the quality of care she received from EVERYONE she came in contact with. I wish I could put all their names here because they were all so caring and spoke to my mom with respect and made her smile. The rooms were kept clean and she liked the food. "My 91yr old mother was admitted on April 11th 2025 to the waterman unit for 13 weeks after she fractured her hip & elbow. She had excellent care from ALL of the staff from the housekeeping ,nursing aids business office, social services , PT /OT RN,PA /NP and the MD's!! Any concern ( which was not many) I brought to the attention of the staff was addressed in a timely matter !! They were kind and engaging and most important of all they listened to my mom!! I am a RN for the last 38 yrs and I know great care when I see it!! BRAVO to the waterman staff!! Keep up the awesome care!! You are hard working crew & dedicated to your patients and it was a joy to get to know you all the last 13 weeks!! I always looked forward to visiting my mother on a daily basis and seeing all your smiling faces!!"

"The staff at Stillwater Health Care was wonderful, very friendly, informative, and very welcoming. It was nice, bright, and clean. They seemed to have a lot of things going on and daily activities, like somebody was there singing and playing the piano, and they do different arts and crafts projects. They showed us the memory care and the nursing care facilities."

"My husband was in Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a while for nursing and skilled rehab services. I would have to go back there because they didn't give us all his clothes when he left. The care was very good, though there were a few things I wasn't happy with. One day I went in to see my husband (since I went every day), and they never told me that he had COVID, which made me mad. They had no reason not to tell me that. The meals were good and everything else I thought was good. The only other thing I didn't care for was that the communication between them and me wasn't exactly what I would have expected. Trying to get a hold of the right people to talk to was often hard, they're very busy. I would have to run out to the nurse's desk to ask questions or try to get a hold of the lady in charge of the care, they're always busy, and I understand that but my time was valuable too. The building was very clean, they had common rooms and different dining areas. It's beautiful outside, it's an older building but it's very nice. Overall, I was really satisfied except for the lack of communication at some point. I thought it was very expensive, that's one of the reasons why we left, and it's self-pay for us. The place where he's now is twice as good as this place and costs $500 less a month. They also did activities and they had a monthly sheet of activities that they do with the people. They had pizza parties and things like that, every day was different."

"Maine Veterans' Home - Bangor was wonderful. The staff was great, kind, clean, caring, and there all the time. You didn't have to wait 45 minutes to go to the bathroom. It was great, and I would recommend that place. Mom's room was clean, big, and had a very nice setting. "
