Maine Veterans' Home - Bangor was wonderful. The staff was great, kind, clean, caring, and there all the time. You didn't have to wait 45 minutes to go to the bathroom. It was great, and I would recommend that place. Mom's room was clean, big, and had a very nice setting.

This place is one of the best places i have ever seen. the staff, filled with beautiful ladies and smart, brave men, are top of the line. they are well focused on their studies, as well as very interested in the medical field. The facility itself has all top of the line machinery. blood pressure cuffs, patient lifts, gurneys, wheelchairs, you name it, and the Maine Veterans Home has it in top of the line condition. The Management could be a little better though. They schedule workers for hours they specifically asked not to be scheduled for, and the management doesn't care. a worker tells management that he or she can't work that day, so they don't show up, but they get in trouble and have to attend attendance protocol hearings with the big boss. its outrageous. it's like nobody is listeneing to them at all! and for all the hardwork they do!
